There’s a new fabric store in Rome, GA! Excellent quality! It’s a beautiful drive to Rome from Carrollton. Plan a day to visit this new store and have lunch and more shopping on Broad Street. I lived in Rome for 10 years and loved it! 😍

Update: Got Fabric???
Super excited about my first fabric order from Linda's Electric Quilters. Great quality! Easy to match thread colors on the site.

Connecting Threads also has my undying love and approval as I have found them faithful and true🤩🤩🤩🤩! I’ve mentioned before that their podcast is awesome. Check out the links below to the episodes on thread and fabric.

Got Fabric???

I am often asked if I sell fabric. The number of inquiries has tripled since the news of the closing of the Joann stores. A number of privately owned fabric stores have closed in recent years. We get by with Hobby Lobby and an occasional item from Walmart, but otherwise we live in a fabric desert.
I have some suggestions:

Quilt shows and conferences are great events to make connections, purchases, and find brands you love and then shop online. We like to touch fabric before we buy.

Trust recommendations of friends-

Connecting Threads
Connectingthreads.com Connecting Threads has their own line of fabrics of excellent quality. My first order exceeded my expectations, and I’ve been hooked since. They also have a great podcast. Check out the one about thread. Get on their mailing list.

Missouri Star Quilt Co.
Missouriquiltco.com
Quilting Deals - Missouri Star Quilt Co sells a long list of trusted brand name fabrics like Moda, Kona, and Riley Blake. Find a name you love and shop that brand.

Several sewing supply online stores now carry fabric. I trust their excellent service for supplies, and am hoping their fabrics are just as fabulous:

Linda’s
Lindas.com
Linda's Electric Quilters
I buy all my thread from them. Just bought their amazing batting scissors. Love them.

Sewing Parts Online
Sewingpartsonline.com
Sewing Parts Online
I buy all my replacement parts here and I always trust their quality. Their site is excellent for finding the part for your machine, no matter the age. They now have a nice list of known fabric brands. (Ken’s Sewing Center is also top notch for supplies and parts).

I hope this is helpful. Let me know of any other places you have found tried and true! (No bashing though!)

And just like that, a quilt square is created! This is my friend, Ashley Hendrix. She took my 5 lesson Beginner Series. Being that quilting is her goal, and she is doing so well, we chose to make a tiny quilt for the final lesson. It turned out great! She even mitered the corners! Great fun in the Sew Bug studio today! 🎉 🧵 🪡
