😱🐾 “Oh no… my dog just ate [insert mystery gross thing]!”

Sound familiar? Here’s your vet-approved game plan:

1️. Call us, Poison Control, or your Emergency Vet immediately- time is everything when toxins are involved.
2️. Know what they ate: Packaging, plant name, or leftover chocolate stash. Those details help us act fast.
3️. Don’t DIY it: No inducing vomiting unless a vet says so. Some toxins are trickier than a cat in a bathtub.
4️. Stay calm & safe: Keep your pet contained and comfy while help is on the way.

Biscuit is only 6 months old, already 10 lbs, and somehow still looks like the sweetest little baby. He’s got that “gentle giant in training” energy — totally relaxed, paws stretched out, looking like he wandered into the vet hospital, made himself comfortable, and immediately became everyone’s favorite coworker. Our veterinary assistant, Heather, clearly ended up with the world’s chillest big boy. 😸

May 8th, National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day 🌪️🐾

Disasters happen, but your pet doesn’t have to panic! Here’s how to be ready:

✅ Emergency kit: food, water, meds, leash, carrier, and favorite snuggle toy
✅ ID + microchip = reunion guaranteed
✅ Plan your escape: shelters, hotels, and buddy system
✅ Practice drills. Calm pets = happy pets

Prep now, stay paw-sitive later! 🐶🐱

One of our clients lost their home in a fire on Monday night. Thankfully, their sweet cat made it out safely and has been spotted nearby, but he is still missing.

He is one of our beloved patients, and his family is worried and hoping someone may be able to help. Please watch for Mishka, share this post, or contact the number on the flyer with any information. Every share means so much to this family right now. 🐾

Here’s how to help your pets adjust like the good boy/girl they are:
👶 Start early: Gradually introduce new sounds, scents, and routines. (Baby cries from YouTube are fair game!)
🏠 Keep their space sacred: Make sure they still have a cozy, calm zone to retreat to when life gets hectic.
💞 Reinforce the love: Don’t forget those cuddles and praise. A little reassurance goes a long way.
🐶 Practice makes perfect: Try short “training” sessions around baby gear or new routines so nothing feels brand new on day one.

Remember, change can be ruff! But with patience and prep, your pet will adjust beautifully. 💕

If your dog barks or howls the moment you leave, it’s usually not drama—it’s separation stress (with a little flair). 🎤🐶

What can help:
• Practice short departures and slowly build up time away
• Leave calming background noise likeTV, music, or white noise
• Keep exits low-key (no big goodbyes… sorry 😅)

Big changes like trips, boarding, or grooming visits can make it more noticeable, especially around busy seasons like spring break. If the barking seems intense, sudden, or paired with destructive behavior, let us know. We’re happy to help you and your pet feel more comfortable when it’s time to say “see you later.” 💚🐾

Today is Hairball Awareness day! And we’re sure you’re aware everytime you hear that “hurk hurk hurk” down the hall. Here’s when it is a problem:
🚫 Loss of appetite
💩 Diarrhea
🥴 Lethargy
💧 Or dehydration

Chronic vomiting can point to allergies, parasites, or even more serious tummy troubles.
💡 Vet tip: Try brushing your cat more often, feeding smaller meals, and making sure they’re on a high-quality diet = fewer surprise carpet “presents.” 🎁 Hairballs happen, but frequent vomiting is not normal. Let’s keep those tummies happy!

We tried the funny face filter challenge and asked our team the most important veterinary question of our time:

🐱 Mean cat or 🐶 mean dog?

We do our best to keep every patient calm, comfortable, and stress-free… but some still arrive with a full 'tude. 🌶️😂

Some of us would rather battle tiny murder mittens. Others prefer negotiating with loud, dramatic dogs.

Watch to see who chose what — and tell us in the comments: which would YOU choose? 👇
