Double Your Pleasure, Double Your Fun, (Let's face it there's two, Double the Trouble WooHoo 😘), it's Double the Puppy Fun!!

Yep, that's right, you are not seeing Double, that is TWO Jack Russell babies that came to meet Dr. Hasco this week for their first veterinary visit. They were absolutely too cute as they were waiting patiently to go home to not snap their picture!!

🤩🐾This week is Veterinary Receptionist Week!🐾🤩

They are the first voice you hear when you call our office, they are the first and the last smile you see when you walk through our doors, they are the first person to offer that "cookie" to our amazing patients...and we could not do what we do without them!!

Their job is not always easy, as a matter of fact it can be downright hard sometimes, it can be busy, it can be extremely stressful and yet it can be so rewarding and they all handle it with grace and those beautiful smiles! Thank You Ladies for your dedication, skill, knowledge, compassion and all round awesomeness!

Special shout out to Carrie, Ellen, Jeanne & Riley, You Ladies are simply Amazing!!!

The creation and evolution of social media has changed our world, sometimes for the better, sometimes maybe not so much. One simple post can create a ripple effect that no one can prepare for. Recently our local veterinary community has been at the center of one of these very type of situations and we are seeing just how one of these ripples can create far reaching consequences, not only for one hospital, but for us all...This ripple effect is now creating some major patient care issues with other veterinary offices within our community, and while we cannot speak for the other offices in our area please know we are feeling the effects...

While yes it is true that we are currently accepting new clients, there is no way that we can take on a large portion of another hospitals client base in an immediate manner. Please know that if you contact our office and we tell you that we cannot see new (to our office) patients for sick or urgent care or that you will have to schedule at least 8 weeks out for your initial intake appointment it is not because we do not want to help you or your pet, it is simply because we are not equipped or staffed to do so on top of our current established clients and our patients. Doing so would be unfair to them.

The Veterinary-Client Relationship...just what does that really mean?? It is just that, it is a relationship, one where each party builds a bond and works with and respects the other. This bond is one shared with the entire veterinary team. We love and respect our clients, some have been with us for 20+ years, some have been with us a few short months, but no matter how long the relationship has been we work hard to try to provide the best patient care that we can for each and every one of you who have put your confidence in us to build that relationship.

Please know, our days are not easy, they are long, we do not complain, we keep doing what we do because we love our clients and our patients (even those kitties who aren't so fond of us with all our "poking and prodding" LOL) and so in the middle of our community's current chaos we pause and say THANK YOU, Thank You for trusting us, for building that bond, for your smiles and words of encouragement on those tough days and for allowing us to love and care for your pets each and every day!

If you do find yourself without a veterinarian and your pet needs emergent or urgent care please seek medical help at one of the surrounding emergency hospitals, Mountain View Animal Emergency in Hagerstown, Shores Veterinary Emergency Center in Harrisburg, Mason Dixon Animal Hospital in Shrewsbury, York Animal Emergency & Referral in York or Rossmoyne Animal Emergency Trauma Center in Mechanicsburg.
