Holy Cow! Moo sparkled at the Ravenna Kennel Club shows this weekend, picking up a Group 2 and a Group 3!

We are so proud of how she and Klayton Harris are representing 4 Clovers!

And that's a wrap for the first official Basset Fauve de Bretagne Club of America National Specialty! Our little red dogs made us so proud and represented 4 Clovers in style.

We presented two young specials that are just getting started in their show careers, GCH 4 Clovers Holy Cow "Moo" and CH 4 Clovers Bazinga "Zing"

Wednesday: Zing Best of Breed & Moo Best of Opposite
Thursday: Pulled for judge conflict of interest
Friday: Moo Best of Breed & Zing Best of Opposite
Saturday: Zing Best of Breed/Group 4 in a star studded lineup & Moo Select
Sunday (National Specialty!): Moo Best in Sweepstakes & Zing Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes

As the cherry on top of a very exciting weekend, Zing then went Best of Opposite at the National Specialty!!!

These two littermates have such a bright future. We are so thankful to Cindy Hartman for co-breeding their mother Myrtle, and to Catrin Hultén for breeding their father Wilbur.

Buckle up Klayton Harris , the best is yet to come!

Calling all volunteers!!! Do you have a Fauve and live in NYC or nearby??? The BFdBCA is looking for help at AKC's Meet The Breeds this weekend! It's being held Saturday & Sunday from 9am-4pm at the Javits Center.

Our Fauves Thaly and Gigi will be making an appearance for the 2nd year in a row! Come hang out and talk about how awesome Fauves are!

HOLY 🐄! We are so proud to announce that Moo will be the very first Fauve able to call herself an AKC GRAND CHAMPION! (Pending AKC confirmation)

We are deeply honored so many judges have recognized our home bred girl Moo. She achieved her GCH through five 5 point majors with champion competition.

GCH 4 Clovers Holy Cow is expertly presented by Klayton Harris. Thank you for making her shine!

A clean sweep! CH 4 Clovers Holy Cow "Moo" is making history in Fauves and went Best of Breed 5 shows in a row at the Florida Gulf Coast Cluster in Brooksville, FL!

With very limited showing under her belt, she completed her championship with three 5-point majors from being awarded Best of Breed each time.

So far she is the:
🐄 1st American Bred Champion
🐄 1st Female Champion
🐄 2nd Champion in AKC
🐄 Youngest Fauve to earn a Championship (12 mo, 8 days old)

We are so proud of Moo and have to give special recognition to two Fauve breeders that made this all possible: thank you Cindy Hartman (Ahroo Kennels) for selling me Moo's grandmother Flirt who is the matriarch of 4 Clovers, and also thank you Catrin Hultèn (Enemossens) for breeding Moo's father Wilbur and trusting us with his genetics to strengthen our program.

Moo is owned/bred by Erica Beattie, co-owned/co-bred by Patty Alleman, and co-bred by Billy Huntington.

She is expertly conditioned and presented by Klayton Harris.

All in the family! The Fauves had an awesome day today. Wilbur went Winners Dog for his first two points in Maryland with co-owner Patty Alleman, while his kids in Florida with handler Klayton Harris did him proud. Moo was Best of Breed and Zing was Winners Dog/Best of Winners for a 5 point major!

The word "proud" just doesn't seem big enough for how I feel about this weekend. The Basset Fauve de Bretagne made its debut in the regular Hound Group January 1st, and our 2nd generation bred-by girl Moo brought her A-game! Moo was one of a select group of Fauves to cement the breed's legacy this weekend by going Best of Breed on Saturday for a 5 point major at the International Kennel Club of Chicago show. Our many thanks to our 4 Clovers family and handler Klayton Harris for the journey it took to get here, as we look forward to an exciting 2026 for Moo and our other 4 Clovers Fauves!
