This Saturday, join us for our limited time offer of Spin The Wheel Adoption Fees! At our PetSmart Event on August 23rd, ALL fees of attending pets are reduced so that we can bring more joy into your home. Adopt a dog or cat for $25, $20, $15, $10 or even $0!

All pets are fully vetted, up to date on vaccines, prevention, dewormings, etc. as well as altered and microchipped. These events are made possible thanks to our partnership with PetSmart Charities and YOU! Give the gift of love and receive it back tenfold: acadianaanimalaid.org/adopt.

Let's raise some money and promote your business!

“Bark in the Dark” is Acadiana Animal Aid’s largest fundraiser of the year, happening October 30th! One of the evening’s highlights is our silent auction, and we’re seeking donations from generous businesses and individuals like you.

Why donate?
Donors receive:

Recognition on our social media platforms (48K+ followers!)

Publicity during the event
Inclusion in the evening’s printed program

Plus, the auction will open to the public one week before the event and will close the night of, giving your business even more visibility.

Meet our adoptable kitties at the PetSmart store off of Johnston St. in Lafayette, located in their adoption kennels. Our adoption coordinator will be there from 10am-1pm to help process same-day adoptions for both cats and dogs! If not adopted, our cats remain available in the store throughout the week for visitors too.

Tomorrow is PETSMART SATURDAY! 🎉
These dogs are making sure our volunteers and fosters pack their treat bags to attend our adoption event at PetSmart (off of Johnston St. in Lafayette), August 16th, from 10am-1pm.

Several of our attendees this weekend qualify for WAIVED adoption fees, as pets who have been long overlooked despite being some of the most outstanding canines in care. For others, this will be their very first adoption event, so we have lots of crossed paws that they find a connection to last a lifetime.

All animals are up to date on veterinary care, altered and microchipped. Not required but highly encouraged, you can fill out an adoption form ahead of time to be pre-approved at acadianaanimalaid.org/adopt. Be their Hero and help save a life by choosing and advocating for adoption! We can't wait to see you there!

Summer is almost over and if you're still wanting a tan, we've got you. Meet Summer Tan. ☀️⛱🏄

This sweet, loving soul has been in our care over 100 days! Simply being overlooked despite the rays of light shining off of her. Some cats just aren't in the business of marketing themselves, and Summer often spends her time snuggled up in a hidey hole cubby, disinterested in putting on any sort of performance meant to dazzle visiting adopters. She just wants to be loved for who she is and who can relate?

Summer loves the peace and quiet, napping and sunbathing. She's got the cutest, bunny nub tail you'll ever see and when she's in the mood for affection she'll let you know by flopping over and rolling around.

Summer Tan's adoption fee is currently WAIVED while she wishes for a superhero like you to adopt her. Right now we are WAIVING the adoption fees of select dogs and cats who have been undeservingly overlooked and these six are sending out the call for help. They'll be available at our PetSmart adoption event on Saturday from 10am-1pm!

ALL of these six dogs have been in foster care which means they have the foundation of a home environment, have proven to be tried and true companions and come equipped with manners, routines and a reliable foster parent who knows what they're capable of.

Visit us this Saturday at PetSmart and ask to be a Hero for a pet truly in need with $0 adoption fee. Fill out an adoption form at acadianaanimalaid.org/adopt to get started. All pets are up to date on veterinary care, altered and microchipped.

This Saturday, we have an adoption event at the PetSmart store off of Johnston St. from 10am-1pm! Our partnership with PetSmart has made it possible to find homes for over 240 dogs and cats so far this year (21% of all adoptions)!

When you adopt from the store, you not only take home a new family member that is up to date on veterinary care, altered and microchipped, but you'll get an adoption kit from PetSmart that includes a free bag of food and over $300 in savings from their store!

This month we are teaming up with Club Tan USA to do weekly Doggy Day Out Field Trips for our pups! Last week Elvira got to escape from the shelter and spent an evening out in the community, meeting tons of people and helping to collect donations through their paw print fundraiser. Elvira, pictured here, is still available for adoption at acadianaanimalaid.org/adopt.

THIS Friday, August 15th, SPLOOTIE MAE will be visiting the store from 2-7pm! Splootie is known for, you guessed it, splooting, and more than that bringing a tremendous amount of joy to those who meet her.

This month's Jr. Volunteer Group Session is coming up on Sunday, August 24th, from 10am-1pm! 🐾
Children between the ages of 10-15 are eligable to participate in this hands-on experience with our animals and fun, educational activities about the importantance of animal welfare and responsibilities of pet ownership.

Spots are limited so you must register ahead of time! Here's how:

🧘‍♀️PUPPY YOGA🧘‍♂️ is around the corner! Thursday, August 21st, our puppies are breaking out of the shelter for some exercise and socialization! Join us at ZenDog from 6-7pm with the amazing Tiffany Saltzman Concienne.

This is a beginner’s yoga class designed to introduce the fundamentals of yoga in a fun environment and the chance to unwind with some of the cutest adoptable pups.

Happy PETSMART SATURDAY! 😺🐶
These kitties have officially moved into the adoption kennels at the PetSmart store off of Johnston St. where they are hoping to find their family. Could it be you?

Our dogs and cats will be available in the store, attended by our adoption team and volunteers, from 10am-1pm. Please fill out an adoption form if interested in bringing home a new best friend (acadianaanimalaid.org/adopt) or simply come by, say hello and get to know our organization and all that we do!
