After general anesthesia, your pet will recover in the intensive care unit located just through a glass door and viewing window from the adjacent surgery room. Recovery always includes continued vital monitoring, supplemental warming and skilled technicians tending to your pet’s needs. Calibrated, electronic intravenous infusion pumps continue to maintain your pet’s blood pressure and organ profusion during recovery. Once your pet has recovered from anesthesia, Hope Veterinary Hospital staff will notify you. Most patients can go home the same day as anesthesia as long as all goes as planned. Your pet will be discharged with post-operative care information, and Dr Megan will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Hope Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer the latest and greatest in pet diagnostic imaging.
🩻 Digital radiographs are captured quickly with the float top Vet Ray table. The collimator light is activated with a foot pedal for efficient radiographs when your pet is resting in a padded positioning trough. Your pet’s images are integrated into their medical record and we provide you with digital copies for future reference or referral care same day.
🔊 Dr Megan is proficient in abdominal ultrasonography to provide advanced diagnostics for your pet right here in your local community. The Samsung V5 is connected to fiber to quickly transfer studies to the medical record or boarded radiologists if needed. This machine is complete with 2 styles of ultrasound probes and color Doppler to aid in aspirates and biopsies to get an accurate diagnosis .
🌬️ The imaging room is equipped with medical oxygen supply to support pets during diagnostics. Flow-by oxygen makes a huge difference when a patient is in respiratory distress.
👩🏻‍⚕️ Dr Megan will review the digital images with you in the exam room on a TV or tablet. She will discuss differential diagnoses and answer any concerns or questions you may have
