JJ is ready for adventure!! ⛵️🛶⛱️🏕️🎾🌎
JJ suffers from black dog syndrome 😩 That’s when a dog is so wonderful, the only logical explanation of them not being adopted is that they aren’t “pretty”. When we met him back in January, we thought oh man, this boy is going to be adopted so quick! How wrong we were 😭 He is now the 2nd longest resident at The Dogs at the Stark County Dog Warden waiting since November 24th of last year. 💔 that’s 191 days with no home or family to love. Please SHARE so we can find him a home ASAP - he deserves to be loved ❤️
🎶Let me tell you ‘bout my best friend🎶 That would be JJ’s theme song - because everyone is his best friend! He is such a happy guy despite his horrific past. When he arrived, he was emaciated, full of scabs in various forms of healing, and missing fur. His spirit was sad and broken. As he started to heal, he showed the true resilience of dogs - never angry at humans. Honestly, is the happiest when he is with volunteers and playing. He is said to be housebroken and seems to like other dogs.
JJ is ready to move out of the shelter and into a loving home. As always, please bring all family members to meet him (cats in a hard carrier) to make sure he’s the perfect fit. 🧩
Every dog comes with donated, free training sessions with local trainers: Cosmic K9 (2 sessions) and Hoperidge RTA (1 session). Adopters should research post-adoption decompression and the rule of 3s: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine and 3 months to start to feel at home..
