The PAW SPAW of Canton

The PAW SPAW of Canton Schedule is by appointment. Individual attention given to each pet, groomed by me each and every time The Paw Spaw is back in Canton! Your vacuum will thank you.

I am excited to be back home and to see all of my old friends, both 2 and 4-legged! The new shop location is at 48 W. Elm St, next to the post office (across from the Daily Ledger), directly one block south of my old location! AND I was able to secure the same phone number as I had before.... 647-2598. I am continuing the one-dog-at-a-time scheduling (except for multiple dog families), which means

your pet will not have to spend any time in a cage. There are exercise pens with comfy pillows and blankets to keep your pet safe when they aren't on the grooming table. Scheduled appointment hours are Monday-Friday starting at 8am. With 25 years of grooming education and experience, I will work with you and your pet to find the stylish trim that works for you. If your pet is a shedder, the de-shedding process can greatly reduce (and sometimes eliminate) the annoying pet hair in your home if done on a regular schedule, generally every 6-8 weeks. My technique starts with the bathing and drying process and ends with a full 'carding', using special tools (NOT the Furminator, which can damage the coat and skin) to remove the shedded coat that you find everywhere in your home.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thnG44vF7eU Why are veterinarians NOT giving us the warnings about these products that the manufacturers are giving THEM? They aren't disclosing the dangers these neurotoxic insecticides present to our pets.... seizures. dry eye. neurologic adverse events. skin issues. etc etc etc

Bravecto side effects in dogs are often missed because symptoms don’t always show up right away, even when your dog seemed completely fine after the dose.If ...

Please realize that the flea/tick pills/shots/top spots/collars with insecticides (yes, neurotoxins) in them do NOT REPEL FLEAS/TICKS. In order for them to work, the fleas/ticks must be ON THE DOG AND ATTACH TO THEM to die, thereby injecting their toxins into the bloodstream of your dog, resulting in exposure to all the tick and flea borne diseases. And if they are carried into your home and fall off, you and your family are exposed to these same diseases. The best line of defense is to repel the pests is to use a PREVENTATIVE, which is most effectively an essential oil spray (I use Wondercide Cedarwood or Peppermint) and an ultra-sonic tag (I have had great success with the biopowerpet.com tag). Garlic as a food additive also can assist as a repellent (yes, Diesel gets garlic in his nightly meal). I shared a video previously with Dr Judy Morgan that, altho it is almost 3 hours, is packed with incredible information about how best to keep your dog safe and healthy. I have listened to it twice because of the amount of info it contains. **WE are the only advocate our dog has to protect their health!**

A new peer-reviewed study in Frontiers in Veterinary Science found that 2 out of 3 dogs with lymphoma were exposed to benzene at DNA-damaging levels, and nearly 9 out of 10 were exposed to xylene. But here’s what most people miss: over half of healthy dogs had similar benzene exposure, and nearly all dogs had xylene exposure too.

This isn’t rare, it’s everyday life. These chemicals, released from products like cleaners, air fresheners, candles, paints, furniture, and even gas stoves, are commonly found in indoor air and can damage DNA in lab studies. Most dogs are living in a constant background of exposure we rarely think about.

The good news is you can reduce it.🙌 Focus on your indoor air, improve ventilation, use an air purifier with activated carbon if possible, avoid synthetic fragrances, switch to simpler low-toxin products, and eliminate smoke exposure. It’s not one big toxin that matters, it’s the constant low-level exposure over time.

And while reducing exposure is step one, supporting your dog’s ability to handle what they’re still exposed to matters just as much.

If you want a science-backed detox support option, Liver Lift™ is a daily, multi-pathway formula designed for pets living in today’s chemical world. It supports liver detox and bile flow, kidney filtration, lymphatic movement, gut binding, antioxidant regeneration, and nervous system regulation.
