Hey everyone!
My name is Emma Rockhold and I own and operate Rockhold Sporthorses . Over the years I have dedicated my time to becoming a trainer and learning all the best ways to produce safe, reliable, and competitive sport horses. After my school education is completed, I plan to become a full time trainer. Until then, I am a trainer in training. I have competed all over United States in dressage up to first level and schooled up through third level, jumped courses up to 3'6" and shown up to 2'9", I have ridden in the ranch riding, done some trail, dabbled in the western pleasure a handful of times, as well as helped start colts and put first rides on multiple horses. I am a well rounded rider who is constantly looking for something to improve on.

I've got one horse in at the moment that will be for sale later this summer!

We have had a busy week here at the stable! The farrier & chiropractor have been here, everyone is feeling great & ready to get the show season started!

Shout out to Bleem Family Chiropractic for getting everyone adjusted and Drake Christe for getting everyone trimmed and shod!

Meet Emma & Zephyr!
Zephyr, known as Z around the barn, and called “Zippin’ Round” in the show ring, is making his debut in the dressage arena. Emma and Z have been a team for the last 3 ½ years. Z is not the typical story you would expect, especially for a half warmblood. In his previous home, he had an abscess which led to him being dropped off at a local barn. At the time Emma had just begun her event training. She absolutely fell in love with him and knew she had to be a part of his story. She helped her trainer nurse him back to health, and start his training under saddle. Z had only been ridden a handful of times before arriving. As his training progressed Emma began riding Z in her weekly lessons. They went to cross-country schoolings, dressage shows, combined training schooling shows, and clinics together. On September 13, 2021 Z became a part of the family. Since then they have competed all over central Illinois and parts of Wisconsin as Emma has brought him up the levels in dressage, and at the time eventing. These two have been killing it the last 2 years with many awards and 1st place ribbons! If you ask Emma what she is most proud of so far she will tell you “when we won the year-end highpoint at the PRC banquet last year, and when we beat a professional at a local show.” We can’t wait to see where these two go!

What a beautiful weekend we had at Little Britches Stables. We are finishing up the tack room and have a few other little projects but we have the stalls ready and pasture space available! We are finally ready for boarders & are looking forward to caring for your horses! Please help us spread the word!

We are still working away here at Little Britches! The doors are on the tack room & the office, along with a window on the office looking out at the outdoor arena. Emma & Addi even got a little ride time in today! We are still waiting on the rest of the stalls to arrive but we will be ready to take on our first clients by the first week of April!!
