🚨 DID YOU KNOW? North Carolina law allows county commissioners to appoint animal cruelty investigators. Under G.S. § 19A-45, these investigators serve one-year terms and must meet specified appointment requirements. This means residents can ask a concrete question: Does our county use this authority, and how do we make sure suspected cruelty is investigated? Animal protection takes more than having laws on the books, it takes people and processes that put them to work.

A foster home doesn't need to be perfect... it needs to be safe, patient, and full of care. 🐾 When you foster, you give an animal a place to decompress and give our rescue room to help the next animal in need. NEWEST ADDITION TO OUR RESCUE! MEET LYNNIE!!

She is the happiest, most loving sweet girl! She was surrendered to our rescue and is such a joy to be around! Lynnie will be in our care while we work on getting her shots/spay and everything up to date. If Lynnie looks like the pup for you, drop a "ME!" in the chat to get an application started for her.

🐈 MEET GIDEON & MAVERICK! 🐈

Two adorable orange boys with a story that deserves a MUCH happier ending. 🧡

These sweet babies weren't always surrounded by love, soft blankets, and full bellies.

They were found in a warehouse, scared and needing someone to give them a chance. 💔

They didn't know what it felt like to have a warm, safe place to sleep. They didn't know that human hands could bring comfort instead of fear.

But that's where their story changed.

They were rescued. They were loved. They were rehabilitated. And somewhere along the way, those scared little warehouse babies turned into two of the sweetest orange boys you could ever meet. 🥹

They went from cold warehouse floors to warm cuddles… and now they're waiting for YOU to make those cuddles last forever. 🧡
