Think twice before letting your dog take a dip this summer! 🌊🐾

Not all lakes, ponds, and slow-moving waterways are safe. Harmful algae blooms (often called blue-green algae) can produce toxins that are dangerous—and sometimes fatal—to pets.

❌ Avoid water that looks:
Bright green
Blue-green
Thick like pea soup
Covered in surface scum or mats

Dogs can be exposed by:
💦 Swimming
🥤 Drinking contaminated water
👅 Licking algae off their fur after swimming

Signs of algae poisoning may include:
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Weakness
• Excessive drooling
• Difficulty walking
• Tremors or seizures

If your pet has been exposed, rinse them with clean water, prevent them from grooming themselves, and seek veterinary care immediately.

When in doubt, keep pets out!

🚨TRAFFIC ALERT-Road closure🚨

Camillus Memorial Parade will take place in the Village of Camillus tomorrow May 25th, 2026.

Village roads will begin closing at 8:30am with the entire village closed for vehicle traffic at 8:45am until noon.

PLEASE PLAN ON ALTERNATIVE ROADS. 🚗
