I have seen this image floating around and it reminds me of a hard truth in the breeding world(for any species).
Many people say they want healthy, well-socialized rabbits from responsible breeders. They want rabbits with good temperaments, proper care, quality nutrition, and breeders who are available for support long after the sale.
But ethical breeding comes with costs—time, feed, housing, veterinary care, record keeping, and countless hours spent improving a breed rather than simply producing more babies.
Meanwhile, the cheapest rabbits often sell the fastest, regardless of the care, planning, or quality behind them.
Price alone doesn't tell the whole story, but when comparing rabbits, it's worth asking what you're actually paying for. Sometimes a lower price is a bargain. Sometimes it's simply cutting corners that someone else paid for later.
Supporting responsible breeders helps preserve healthy bloodlines, good husbandry practices, and the future of the breeds we love.
The cheapest rabbit isn't always the most affordable rabbit in the long run.
