To our amazing Laura’s Pretty Paws family,
First, I want to thank every single person who has reached out, donated, prayed, checked on us, shared our posts, and supported us since the accident on May 1st. The love and kindness from this community has meant more than I could ever put into words.
As many of you know, a car drove completely through our new shop in Cave City, causing major damage and injuries to both myself and my daughter-in-law. We are incredibly thankful to still be here, because it truly could have been much worse.
The past few weeks have been overwhelming and emotional as we try to process everything, attend doctor appointments, and figure out what the next steps look like for our family and our business. I know many of you have been asking when we may reopen, and I wish I had a clear answer right now.
I do have another orthopedic appointment tomorrow, and I’m hoping to have a better understanding afterward of what I will physically be able to do moving forward. Anyone who knows me knows I’m stubborn and determined, and I’m doing everything I can to get back to the dogs and clients we love so much.
We have been incredibly blessed by friends, family, clients, and our community. The support through the Chamber of Commerce donations, messages, calls, and encouragement has helped carry us through some very hard days. Please know we see every message even if we can’t always respond right away.
Right now we are taking things one day at a time while exploring temporary options that may help us begin serving clients again safely and slowly. As soon as we know more, we will update everyone here.
Please continue to keep our family in your prayers as we navigate recovery and healing.
We love and appreciate you all more than you know. ❤️
