Rise & Shine had a successful county fair. Everyone had goals and they were all crushed! Some were to have a good ride and learn some new skills. Others were to enjoy their first fair and learn the ropes of 4-H. And others wanted a state trip! The best part of all though is seeing old friends, making new friendships stronger, and appreciating our four legged friends that deal with our crazy ideas so well!

It's that time of year where things are hopping! On Thursday night, Rhiannan rode at the Hamel Rodeo Julia did the Isanti Parade, Kari taught a clinic for Sherburne 4H. This morning, Alison headed off to a pleasure show at Oasis. Tonight Rhi and Julia carried flags at the Isanti Rodeo and Julia goat tied for 4H too!Tomorrow they'll do it again and Sunday Kari is off to Rice Lake to judge a show! After that it's all hands on deck to prepare for county fair next week!

Busy but wonderful day! Shortest show ever at NWSC (thankfully on this hot day)! Reese was on 🔥 fire 🔥 and snagged her 2nd buckle (she won her first one last weekend), Leah rode Benny at their first show and placed in every class 🏆, and Sam knocked over a bunch of stuff, but still pulled off reserve in both pony and junior. Great job all! Now it's Buffalo Rodeo time with Rhiannan and Julia!

✨️Today we need to honor this sweet mare, Lady, who we all affectionately refer to around here as Grandma. 🥰 Today we said our last goodbye after sharing laughs, all the treats a horse could want, and all our attention.

Lady began her journey as a halter and pleasure horse, showing proudly in the days of the East Central Horseman Saddle Club futurity. Over the years, she transformed into so much more. Lady was the perfect lesson horse for anyone who wanted or needed to go as slow as she did. She carried Special Olympic and Challenged Riders with gentleness. 💖

Lady was deeply loved by her owners, Elle and Margaret, who gave her a beautiful life filled with care, kindness, and endless treats. Being queen of the pasture, her little sidekick Stu, and soaking up the sun were her favorites. ☀️

We’ll miss her sweet face and presence in the barn, but her spirit will always be a part of our herd. Rest easy, Lady, you were truly one of a kind. 🫶
