When I was 23 ,I was managing and doing stalls at a 20 stall “A circuit“ Hunter Jumper barn outside of Palm Beach. I hurt my back and decided I wanted to work with smaller animals. My neighbour had show poodles and she told me to get a job with professional handlers and learn how to groom.
That’s what I did.
I went to work with some of the top handlers in the country, Greg and Kim Strong. One of the first things I learned was how to trim nails and the ART of having good hands on an animal. Greg has the most amazing hands on a dog!
Good hands on a dog, transfers to good leash handling. We are not currently taking on new grooming dogs unless they are boarding with us

Super simple way to shape heel! Use a fence or a wall to keep them tight and food to lure into position. Notice at the end he offered the position with no lure and I jackpotted him ( lots of food)
