Legacy Stables and Karin's Horse Connection

Vaulting Nationals is a wrap! We are so proud of our competitors and horses for all their hard work at nationals. Penelope and Lena have secured the Reserve Champion title in their Trot Pas De Deux (pair) class and had their best freestyle go this year. Zoe and Anya came in 4th place and a personal best for Freestyle! Makayla, competing in Copper, scored an impressive 6.719 in her freestyle, landing her the 9th place out of a class with 34 competitors! Linnea and Madeline competed at the Tryon Festival, which is their equivalent to nationals. Linnea secured the Unrated barrel title, with a personal best of 7.144 (out of 16 competitors). Madeline competed in the Tiny Tots division and had her personal best in Freestyle! Atlas was amazing and carried competitors for 4 clubs in addition to ours. Also huge shout-out to Cedar Lodge vaulting for letting us borrow their horses and for hauling taking such good care of Atlas.

Atlas, Coaches Leoni and Melinda, and seven members from our vaulting club are competing in Tryon, North Carolina this week at the Fun Fest and National Championships!!

For the very first time, YOU could design this year's official Hearts & Hooves Benefit Event T-shirt!

Whether you (or your child!) are a seasoned artist, doodler, or just someone who loves Legacy and Hearts & Hooves, we'd love to see your ideas! Create a design inspired by horses, community, and the impact of therapeutic riding, and you could see your artwork printed on our 2026 event shirt!

🏆 The winning designer will receive TWO free event T-shirts featuring their artwork!

Design Requirements:
✔ Can be drawn in color but will be printed on t-shirt in black or white (1 color)
✔ Is drawn horizontally to fit/fill an 8.5 x 11in white paper
✔ Celebrates the spirit of horses, community, and friendship
✔ Includes the title “Hearts & Hooves 2026”

More new additions: Kittens!!

We welcomed this litter of kittens who needed a home. They add so much fun and entertainment around the stable!
They will stay with us into the Fall at which point we will look for permanent homes for 2 of them (and keep two here!)

We are so happy to announce that “Johnny” has joined our herd!

Johnny is a 13yo, 14.2 hand, Quarter Horse. His coat has a unique coloring called “Red Dun”. He is calm and confident, well trained, and loves attention.
We can’t wait for you all to meet him!
