Guardian Paws Service Dogs Guardian Paws Service Dog is an Idaho based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. GPSD does not have a breeding program and never takes possession of the dog.

We teach Veterans & 1st Responders how to train their SERVICE CONNECTED PTSD and ambulatory service dog at NO COST. Guardian Paws Service Dogs, GPSD, trains, advocates and educates for Veterans and their Service Dogs in the Treasure of Idaho at NO COST. If a Veteran has a dog, one of our lead trainers will temperament test the dog to see if the dog is appropriate to be a service dog. If the vetera

n's dog is not appropriate to be a service dog or the veteran does not have a dog, GPSD will help find a dog specifically for the veteran. We work with local shelter's and rescue groups to find dogs for our program. GPSD is operated solely by donations and volunteers who have a passion to give back to our veterans. Our Annual Dog Days of Summer Show'n'Shine is next weekend, September 5th from 10:00-3:00. We are so excited to see new faces and those that have supported over the years. The registration is $25 which includes a show t-shirt while they last ( if you would like to order extra shirts we can make that happen). If your rig is picked for top truck, top car, or top motorcycle your ride will be printed on next year's t-shirts. ALL PROCEEDS from this event stays in the Treasure Valley going to LOCAL heroes and their Service Dogs. Those proceeds cover costs like adoption fees, spay/ neuter, vaccines, dog food, training tools and outings for our teams they may not have the funds to attend.
Our entire leadership team are all volunteers. No one receives a paycheck or stipend. No fees are being spent on national fees/dues. To give you an idea how our money is spent:
$20- training collar and leash
$40- vaccines
$50- large bag of quality dog food
$100- a veterinarian well health check up
$ 250 - get a dog spayed/ neutered (which is a requirement of our dogs)
$350- adoption fee for a perspective service dog

Guardian Paws is so thankful to Treasure Valley Subaru. They have supported us for 5 years. They have given us a place to meet, supply needs that our Veterans and 1st Responders need and so much more. We wouldn't be where we are today if it wasn't for Treasure Valley Subaru.
