Our next Cat Spay/Neuter Clinic is just one week away! 🐱

The wonderful team at PALS Low-Cost Feline Veterinary Service will once again be bringing their mobile clinic to The Messenger Animal Rescue to help people in our community get their cats spayed and neutered at a more affordable cost!

We want to give a HUGE thank you to Acadia’s Edge Property Management for generously sponsoring this event! ❤️

Thanks to their kindness, they have covered the cost of the Airbnb accommodations for the PALS team, as well as lunch for everyone working the clinic that day!

This is a considerable expense that our small nonprofit would otherwise have to take on, so having a local business step up and cover these costs means so much to us! Their generosity allows us to continue hosting these much-needed clinics without putting an additional financial burden on our rescue.

We are incredibly grateful for their support and commitment to helping animals in our community! ❤️🐾

📣 There are still a few spots available for this clinic! If you’ve been putting off getting your cat spayed or neutered, this is a great opportunity! (Link to sign up is in the comments!)

Spaying and neutering is one of the most important things we can do to help reduce the number of unwanted cats and kittens in our communities. 🐈❤️

With recent positive rabies cases in wildlife here in Maine, we wanted to share our calendar, which cross-posts any low-cost vaccination (and spay/neuter) clinics being hosted across the state by various groups and veterinary clinics.

If you are in need of these services, there are a lot coming up in November and December, so please check it out! If you know of a clinic coming up that is not yet on the calendar, please let us know.

We still have some pretty shocked little residents here are PAWS Brave Hearts. Gilda has a few things she like to share about why she is still waiting 😬. Patience doesn’t come easily for her 😁 and our reasons just aren’t good enough for her 😂. The babies Story and North just don’t quite understand why their little hearts haven’t stolen the hearts of another family💜💜. If you would like to adopt Gilda or Story and North please complete the adoption link.

To help our adoption volunteer please always make sure the application information is complete and accurate. Please remember to contact your veterinarian and verify your companions are up to date on vaccines and give your veterinarian permission to speak with a rescue volunteer. All resident companions current and those owned in the last 5 years are required on the adoption application. Complete and accurate adoption applications can be processed in very little time. Thank you for your help!
