Ken and Julia Gholson Memorial Dog Park A safe place for dogs and their people to play. The dog park was built solely by volunteers and with individual contributions.

It will be maintained by the community members who use and appreciate it. If you and your dog play well with others, you are welcome to join us! (Just remember to pick up your dog's p**p and take it home with you.)

The new dog park will be located on Deep Cove Road, at Cony Park, just before the turnoff to Shackford Head State Park.

As you can see, Ella the Schweenie Dog was already lined up while volunteers worked on the fencing.

Thank you to the folks in Eastport who are keeping the dog park tradition alive.

When dog's play nicely together there's nothing more fun to watch, but when things go bad it can be a very difficult and dangerous situation. If you don't understand how dogs play and how they comm...
