🕷️ Tick-Borne Illness Awareness 🕷️

🐾 Signs to watch for:

Lameness or stiffness

Fever

Loss of appetite

Fatigue

Swollen joints or lymph nodes

If your pet spends time outdoors, especially in grassy or wooded areas, tick prevention is essential! Talk to us about the best tick prevention options to keep your furry friend safe year-round.

🩺 Early detection and treatment can make all the difference. If you notice any unusual symptoms, schedule a check-up right away!

Stay safe and tick-free! 🐕🐈

🩺 Case Study: Catching the Silent Signs – The Value of Senior Blood Work
Patient: Max, 11-year-old Golden Retriever
Visit Reason: Routine senior wellness exam — no noticeable symptoms reported by the owner.

What We Did: Recommended senior blood work as part of Max’s check-up.

Findings: Early-stage kidney disease and slightly elevated liver values. Max had shown no signs at home, but the blood work gave us a head start.

Outcome: We adjusted Max’s diet and added supplements. With regular monitoring, his kidney function has remained stable — and he’s still chasing tennis balls like a pro. 🎾

Takeaway: Senior pets often hide illness until it’s advanced. Annual (or semi-annual) blood work helps catch issues early — before your pet shows signs. Early detection = longer, healthier lives.

📅 If your pet is over 7, ask us about senior screening today!

🐾 Case Study: Why Puppy Vaccines Matter 🐾
Patient: Luna, 10-week-old Labrador mix
Situation: Luna came in lethargic, vomiting, and not eating. Her owner had skipped her first round of vaccines, thinking she was too young for illness.

Diagnosis: Parvovirus — a serious and often deadly disease that is highly preventable with routine puppy vaccinations.

Outcome: After several days of intensive care, Luna recovered — but her family faced a large emergency vet bill and a scary close call.

Lesson: Puppy vaccines save lives. The core vaccines protect against diseases like parvo, distemper, and more. Starting around 6–8 weeks old, and repeating every 3–4 weeks until 20 weeks, gives puppies the best shot at a healthy life.

📅 If your puppy is due for shots, don’t wait — prevention is easier (and much cheaper) than treatment.
