Some of the girls sporting their new jewelry we ordered from Ritchey Livestock ID 😍 I love how clear the engraving is and the tags are compatible with our Y-Tex ear tagged which is amazing! Can’t wait to get the whole herd done.

Excited to be adding these 2 amazing sires to the tank for future calves 😍👀 Houston and Masterplan both bring different qualities to the table and the plan will be more so to use Masterplan on our Purebred girls, while I wanna utilize Houston on Skunk, Panda, potentially Waffles maybe after she has her first calf, and a few other girls. 🤔

My gorgeous 2nd calf girls 😍

#2207 Miracle & #2216 Skunk - Both bred to Titus for February/ March calves.

They are both spoiled rotten, and I am lucky to have them both.

Flower’s Titus bull baby 😛

He’s really looking good for just barely over 2 months old! I’d love to see him keep growing and maybe be a potential herd bull prospect down the line.

Time will tell though 🙂

I love taking advantage of my days off from work to go see the girls, and Miss Panda is as pretty as she ever has been! 😍

I’m so grateful that the pasture she’s in kept up like it did through the drought. There’s still plenty for her and the others to eat, and we shouldn’t have to start feeding hay until hopefully the end of November, as long as we get some rain here and there!

Panda is bred for an early February calf and she’s bred to Titus. I’m honestly hoping she has a little bull calf growing in her belly! Either way though, I can’t wait to see what she has and I pray it’s healthy.

As with anything good, there’s always something bad… 😕

As you all know, I posted pictures of #2208 Jezebelle’s baby boy yesterday and I honestly had no indications that there was anything wrong with the little guy… When I found him, he was laid over on his side with his back leg up in the air which I thought was peculiar but at the same time, he was laying with his back towards a bit of a downhill slope and I figured he’d just gotten himself stuck…

I got him situated correctly and he stood up and his mama was licking all over him like a normal mama does…

She walked up in the top of the field and he followed right behind her…

We had to leave for a few hours, but I didn’t expect anything bad even at that time.

When we got back to the farm, I went up in the field and set out a round bale for the big cows… Jezebelle was up in the tree line with the little boy, but I couldn’t see anything wrong, and she came down to the feeder.

I went up after to check on the baby and there he was again, laid over with his leg up in the air, like he’d rolled down the hill again… ODD!

I got him situated back normal again and he seemed okay. He stood up, stretched, peed, and walked around a bit before he laid back down…

It was getting late at this point, so I made my way back to my house.

Fast forward to this morning and I get a call from Papa… He says the calf is still acting silly - found laid over again, and this time barely moving…

Papa brought Jezebelle and the baby down to the barn, and the little guy was laying normal, but didn’t look like he’d nursed since yesterday… so Papa mixed a bottle up and fed him just a bit, which made him perk up…

And within about an hour, the calf was deceased… strangest thing we’ve come across this year, so far…

I have a theory, but I’m honestly at a loss. 😕

Pretty girl, Miss Waffles 😍

And #2208 Jezebelle had her handsome little bull calf yesterday morning! 💙😍

We’re so happy to see this calf on the ground, healthy and ready to go! Jezebelle lost her calf last year (her first calf) so we’ve been praying for no complications and thanks to God, he’s here and we couldn’t be happier! 🌞

Our Story

Welcome to G&A Registered Angus. We are a small-scale cattle operation, located in Northeast Tennessee, focused on producing both registered and commercial seedstock. We currently run 30+ head of cattle, including our main herd sires, mature cows, bred and yearling heifers, and young calves. We began our journey with registered Angus cattle in December of 2014, and since then have hit many bumps in our road, but we are always pushing forward and looking to better both ourselves, as well as our operation. We have breeding age bulls available at this time. Please contact myself, Andrew Seal, or my grandfather, George Blevins, if you have nay questions. We love to talk cattle!
