Preventable! Kentucky has had a case of Rabies 7/31 in Garrad County and a case of West Nile 7/30 in Boyle County. Sadly, both horses had to be euthanized. Make sure your horse is up to date on their vaccinations!

We have seen 27 cases of Lyme disease in pets this year. We offer multiple flea and heartworm preventatives for both cats and dogs at our clinic and through our Online Pharmacy! Lyme disease is caused by the bacteria (Borrelia burgdorferi) and passed when certain ticks bite. Your pets (dogs, cats, and horses) and people can become infected. While many infected dogs remain asymptomatic, others may experience symptoms like fever, lameness, lethargy, and swollen lymph nodes. In severe cases, Lyme disease can lead to kidney damage and even be fatal if left untreated
