A Goodbye to Darcy — and a Plea for Help
We are heartbroken to share that we lost one of our longtime residents, Darcy, last week.
Darcy was adopted twice, but both times, she chose to come back home to CatRangers. This was where she belonged. She was loved, known, and cherished by everyone here.
When Darcy became sick last week, we did everything we could medically to save her. Sadly, it became clear that it was time to let her go. We brought her back to CatRangers, where we could surround her with love and say goodbye together.
Darcy’s medical care alone cost about $2,000. And, at the same time, we’ve had an echocardiogram for Pinky and dental procedures for three other cats plus several other medical concerns. Our veterinary bills for August have now reached $9,250.
Every one of these cats matters to us. Everyone deserves the chance to be comfortable, cared for, and loved — no matter how complicated their medical concerns may be.
If you’re able, please consider making a donation to CatRangers today. Your support helps us pay these veterinary bills and continue saying “yes” when a cat needs us. You can donate at https://www.catrangers.org/info/donate.
Thank you for loving our cats, for remembering Darcy, and for helping us care for the ones who are counting on us.
