Today is Trails Day, and we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate a love of the great outdoors than by featuring Daisy! Daisy is a terrier mix who loves a long walk on a beautiful trail.

This sweet girl is the ultimate medium-sized companion. At 54 pounds, she is sturdy enough for big adventures but still fits perfectly into your lap (and she will try to fit). Daisy has a gorgeous black and white coat, expressive eyes that deserve their own social media account, and a tail that never stops wagging.

Daisy is socialized well with male dogs. Daisy would do best in a home with no cats or small animals. Daisy is looking for an active adopter who can give her the mental and physical exercise she craves.

Want to meet Daisy in person? Stop by the shelter during open hours and ask our staff for a visit with this one of a kind girl.

Throughout the months of January through May 2026, Crossroads Animal Shelter's Pet Pantry distributed 3,328 lbs of dry food to pet owners in our community!

The Pet Pantry was developed to provide short-term support for pet owners who are struggling financially by offering assistance with pet food and necessary supplies, allowing them to keep their pets at home and prevent surrender or abandonment.

As we continue to provide this essential service for pet owners in our community, we are asking for your help to stock our Pet Pantry!

We are seeking donations of unexpired, unopened kibble or canned food for dogs and cats. We can also accept treats and kitty litter. Donations can be dropped off anytime during shelter hours, which are Thursday & Friday 2pm-7pm and Saturday and Sunday 12pm-5pm.

Who Qualifies for The Pet Pantry:
Pet owners facing temporary financial hardship (e.g., job loss, medical emergencies) Seniors, low-income families, and individuals with disabilities who need assistance. Individuals recovering from disasters or emergencies qualify for the Pet Pantry.

These sweet faces are all looking for their forever homes! All adoptable animals at Crossroads are sterilized, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and receive post adoption support through Petcademy.

Coming Soon to Crossroads Animal Shelter! These sweet dogs and puppies are traveling all the way from Kentucky, courtesy of our friends at Safe Hands Rescue. These canines will be available to visit with on Sunday May 31, from 12pm-5pm.

Canines will be Available Pre-Select. Pre-select means you may visit the shelter and select an animal to visit with. If you fall in love, and decide you can't live without them, you may place a paid-hold on the animal. The animal will receive the necessary vetting (sterilization, vaccines, deworming, etc), and the adoption may be finalized during the next open shelter day.

Are you ready for the canine vaccine clinic tomorrow?

We are very excited to be partnering with our friends at Spikes & Houles again for another Canine Vaccine clinic! This time we will be at the Loretto Spikes & Houles location on tomorrow May 30 from 10am-1pm.

Address: Spikes & Houles 6265 County Rd. 19, Loretto, MN 55357

We will be offering canine vaccines for rabies, bordetella, distemper, lyme and lepto. We will also be offering microchip and registration, as well as engraved ID tags.

There is a $10 clinic fee per pet.

We'll see you tomorrow!

Don't forget! These sweet retriever mix puppies just had their prices reduced to $375+tax.

Callie and her littermates are the cutest 3 month old retriever mixes, and they can't wait to go to their forever homes. They are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. Each adoption comes with a membership to Petcademy, a training and behavior support platform to help support you after adopting your new pet!
