Looking for the perfect houseguest? 🏠

Look no further than Bear! Bear is a shorter, medium-sized dog with an easygoing demeanor.

His wonderful foster family describes him as a, “calm, quiet, well mannered, and a loving companion.” They also say, “he is fun and has excellent house manners and no dog proofing was necessary.”

The shelter where he was transferred said that Bear was dog-friendly and he has done parallel dog walks in his foster home.

And while he may seem a little aloof when you first meet him, his foster wants you to know — give him a few days, and Bear turns into a total cuddle bug!

To help Bear find a loving home, he is this week’s Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week.

Floki is being fostered at K9 Haven ❤️

Floki recently came to Ark-Valley Humane Society through our Transfer Program. She is an incredibly sweet and social girl. She has shown love to all the AVHS volunteers and has done really well with all the shelter dogs she’s met.

We are so surprised she has not been adopted yet!

To give her more time to play with people and dog friends, we reached out to K9 Haven about fostering Floki at their wonderful facility! They generously let her stay for a little vacation.

Hopefully this will help her get noticed by a loving family!

Maribelle and Maude are both 14 years-old and are looking for a home together ❤️

They came to Ark-Valley Humane Society through our Transfer Program from another shelter as they were unable to find an adoptive home.

Don't forget about me! 🐶

Hi, I’m Miller and I’m 9 years old and my foster family says I’m the bestest boy ever. Honestly, I think they’re right.

They also say I’m basically a cat trapped in a dog’s body. I’m super chill, very low maintenance, and fully committed to the art of lounging around all day. I don’t bark, I don’t require long walks, and my biggest hobby is cuddling with you.

If you’re looking for an easygoing best friend who just wants to hang out and love you forever, I might just be your guy.

One more thing… my 10th birthday is coming up soon. Any chance I could celebrate it in an adoptive home this year? 🎂🐾

Kida first came to the shelter 564 days ago, and we still can’t believe this sweet couch potato princess is waiting for her adoptive home.

She’s quiet, calm in the home, loves adventures with her foster family, and has done great meeting all kinds of new people — even in large groups!

One thing Kida has been working on is her leash confidence around other dogs. She can be reactive if another dog barks at her, but thanks to Jerrod from , she’s been making amazing progress!

Jerrod has been taking her on outings to help her feel more safe and confident on leash, and this recent walk with a new friend shows just how well she’s doing. We hope this helps people see the truly sweet girl we know and love.

Thank you, Jerrod, for helping Kida shine and get closer to finding her adoptive family! 🏡
