The Bratwurst Capital of America is getting ready to celebrate! 🌭🎶 The 2026 Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival returns Aug. 13-15 with three days of food, live entertainment, contests, parades and family activities in downtown Bucyrus.

From the famous bratwurst to performances by The Kentucky Headhunters, community traditions and local events, this year’s festival has something for everyone.

For the first time in 10 years, our software system went down and stayed down for almost 2 hours today. I appreciate everyone's patience if you were in the office especially! Good luck to all the 4-H and FFA members of Crawford County as they begin the 2026 Junior Fair! Thank you to all the youth, parents and sponsors for all you do. This week office hours will be slightly irregular. We will be closed Wednesday but normal hours on Monday and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday limited office hours.

Friendly reminder: 2 more days to prepare for Fireworks 🎆 As much as we all love summer, the 4th of July is sometimes scary for our pets. Reminder to keep them home if they are scared of noise or storms, as the popping be terrifying. Have a safe quiet cool place. Keep pets on a leash so they do not get scared and run. Please, talk to us before Thursday about any medications and needed prescriptions! We will close for a 3 day weekend to enjoy the 250th American Birthday! 🇺🇸 🇺🇲

It is HOT! Remember to take plenty of water on any outside activities. Keep dogs out of the heat! Remeber if they are older, dark or thick coated or the smash faced breeds they have the higher risks but if you are too hot they most likely are as well. Hot pavement can burn paws. But otherwise enjoy summer ☀️!
