Today, we want to pause and say a HUGE thank you to this incredible community. Because of you, 17 animals found safe, loving foster homes in a single day. 🥹🐾

When we asked for help, you didn’t hesitate. You opened your homes, rearranged your lives and stepped up for animals who desperately needed somewhere safe to land.

Sweet Austin… lovingly known as Snowman by his foster mom ☃️🤍 has officially headed HOME!

Born to our sweet mama Paris after she came into rescue, Austin has been surrounded by love and care from the very beginning. Watching him grow from a tiny puppy into a confident, happy boy has been such a joy, and today he started the greatest adventure of all.

His new dad instantly fell in love, and we know Austin is going to be absolutely spoiled with the life he deserves. There is nothing better than seeing one of our rescue babies leave with a family who already adores them.

Congratulations, Austin (Snowman)! We can’t wait to watch your new chapter unfold. Thank you to everyone who supported Paris and her puppies—it truly takes a village to make these happy endings possible. ❤️🐾

🚨 URGENT. WE ARE BEGGING FOR HELP. 🚨

Today has been one of those days that reminds us just how fragile rescue can be.

This morning, we welcomed three tiny puppies from the Rio Grande Valley into our care. These babies have already been through so much. They are carrying a heavy parasite burden and desperately need a quarantine foster while they recover.

🐾 We provide the playpen, food, medications, and all supplies. We just need you to open your home.

But that wasn’t the end of the emergencies…

💔 HOPE in Hearne is facing a heartbreaking crisis. Their air conditioning failed today, and the cat room became dangerously hot. To make matters worse, the shelter’s owner has disappeared, leaving staff unpaid and utilities neglected.

We rushed in to help the animals who were in the most immediate danger of heat stroke, bringing 3 kittens and a mama cat with her 5 nursing babies into our rescue.

It was everything we could do.

But our hearts are breaking because 33 dogs and 18 cats are still there waiting for help. They are waiting for someone to say, “I’ll take one.”

We want to help them.

We need to help them.

But we simply cannot do it without foster homes and the financial support to care for them. Every open foster home means another life we can save.

Despite the chaos, every animal we brought in today (except newborns) were started on vaccines, dewormer, and parasite prevention. Rescue doesn’t stop because funds are low. The animals still need us.

Now we’re asking our village to step in.

Some happy endings are worth the wait… and Sherlock’s is one of them. ❤️

Sherlock came to Cactus Ranch Rescue as a tiny kitten looking for safety and a fresh start. Like so many babies who come through our doors, he needed time to grow, receive his veterinary care, and find the perfect family. While he waited, he stole hearts with his playful personality, endless curiosity, and sweet cuddles.

Today, we’re thrilled to say that Sherlock has found his forever home! Even sweeter? He’s joining a family we already know and love—the same wonderful family that adopted Indy, our Blue Heeler, earlier this year! 🩵

Their sweet little boy has been counting down the days, patiently waiting for his baby kitty to be ready to come home. He has already chosen the perfect new name… Henry! 🐱💙

There is nothing better than seeing families return to adopt another rescue and watching these animals become such an important part of their lives. Thank you for opening your hearts once again and giving this little guy the loving future he deserves.

🎉 GRACIE IS ADOPTED! 🎉

Our adorable little lowrider has officially found her forever home! 🏡🐾

Gracie came to Cactus Ranch Rescue as a dachshund/heeler mix puppy with tiny legs, a big personality and an irresistible face. She quickly won everyone over with her playful spirit, sweet nature and that signature low-to-the-ground strut.

During her time in foster care, Gracie was given the chance to grow, learn and experience the love and security every puppy deserves while waiting for the right family to find her.

Now, the wait is officially over—Gracie is home! ❤️

Thank you to her foster family for loving her and preparing her for this next chapter, and to everyone who donated, shared her posts and helped her story reach her new family.

💔 FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP FOR OSCAR (formerly Rads)! 💔

Some posts are so much harder to write than others.

Many of you may remember Oscar, formerly known as Rads, one of two tiny puppies we pulled from Fort Bend County Animal Services after he and his brother were found abandoned in a dumpster. They should have never known that kind of cruelty so young.

Thankfully, Oscar’s story took a beautiful turn. He found an incredible mom who has loved him beyond measure. He has been spoiled, cherished, and treated exactly how every rescue dog deserves to be. This is not a case of someone giving up because he isn’t wanted.

Unfortunately, life can change in heartbreaking ways.

Oscar’s mom has recently been diagnosed with cancer and simply no longer has the energy or physical ability to keep up with this goofy, high-energy young dog while focusing on her health. This decision has absolutely shattered her, and we ask that everyone please keep her in your prayers as she faces this incredibly difficult chapter. ❤️

Now it’s our turn to make sure Oscar lands safely once again.

🐾 About Oscar:
• Approximately 55–58 pounds
• around 8 months old
• Fully vetted
• Kennel trained (he happily goes to his kennel and sleeps there every night)
• Almost completely potty trained (just the occasional excited puppy accident)
• Uses bells on the door to let you know when he needs outside
• Extremely toy motivated—his squeaky ball is his absolute favorite!
• Food motivated and eager to learn
• Loves people and is a total mama’s boy
• Rarely barks unless he’s playing
• Has done well with larger dogs and would likely enjoy a playful canine companion his size

Oscar is still very much a puppy at heart. He has endless energy, loves to play until everyone else is tired, and doesn’t quite realize he’s a 55-pound dog. He would thrive with an active family committed to continuing his training and giving him the exercise and love he deserves.

His mom shared something that absolutely broke our hearts:

“This is so hard. He is so loved, and I hate for him to think in his puppy brain that he wasn’t loved or wanted.”

Oscar, we promise you that isn’t true.

He has been deeply loved every single day of his life. Sometimes love means making the most heartbreaking decision imaginable because it’s what’s best for someone you love.

Now we need our village to step in once again.

Another one of Mama Paris’ babies has officially found a forever family! 🏡🐾

Denver came into rescue as part of Paris’ litter and spent his first weeks growing up alongside his siblings in the safety of a loving foster home. We watched him grow from a tiny baby completely dependent on his mama into a happy, playful puppy ready to begin his very own adventure.

Now, Denver’s next chapter has officially begun—he is home! ❤️

Thank you to his foster family for helping raise him, loving him and preparing him for this special day. We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, shared and supported Mama Paris and her babies throughout their journey.

Scrooge is already feeling so much better! His skin is looking noticeably less inflamed, and now that he is getting some relief, his adorable personality is really starting to shine. ❤️‍🩹

He loves lounging in the sunshine, is already potty trained, and makes the cutest little “bup-bup-bup” bark whenever he wants something. It is impossible not to smile at him!

After everything Scrooge has been through, seeing him comfortable, relaxed, and beginning to enjoy life again means so much. He still has more healing and veterinary care ahead, but he is making wonderful progress one day at a time.

Scrooge will be available for pre-adoption while he finishes up his veterinary care. If you’ve been looking for a sweet, goofy little companion, he just might be your perfect match! 🐾
