It's a perfect day to come to Delaney Stables and introduce your little one to a horse! Rain or shine we will be here from 1:00 to 4:00 for Little's Day. A time for young ones to explore and learn!

How It Works:
Reserve a time by phone or email, or simply walk in between 1:00 and 4:00 PM.
Closed-toe shoes are required for everyone in the barn.
A legal guardian must sign participation forms (email us ahead of time to receive them).

Session Options:
15 minutes – $15
30 minutes – $30

Connie – Elegant 2018 Black Draft Cross Mare, 15.1hh

Connie is a stunning 2018 black Draft Cross mare (likely Friesian x Percheron) standing 15.1 hands with a solid build making her feel taller then that. As a member of our lesson program, Connie is well-schooled in walk, trot, and canter, and confidently works over trot poles. When in regular outside work, she was fabulous outside letting me prune tree on the trails. She was shown in dressage at GMHA as a 3-year-old and earned impressive scores of 65%+.
She was shod last summer and is currently barefoot. Connie loves being pampered—she’ll happily stand for ear scratches and braiding. She thrives on turnout and is content living in or out. She’s on a simple supplement to support firm manure.
Connie is a “kick-along” type with a solid foundation and lovely presence.

2025 Little’s Days, 1:00 to 4:00 pm, Register in advance or come to the door
Little’s Day is designed to do most anything the child is ready for. We leave it up to them as even kids that have been super excited sometimes get to the barn and are overwhelmed. They can watch us, lead, groom, tack-up, or ride. If riding, tacking up and untacking are part of the time. For ages 3 to 8 years old.

Call or email to schedule a time. Not sure when you can get here? Walk-ins are also welcome.

Guidelines
Only closed toed shoes in the barn.
