The shorter camp day (9:00–1:00) leaves plenty of time for summer afternoons with family, swimming, other activities, or simply being home and outdoors.

Small groups allow for individual attention and steady progress for both new and experienced riders.

Parent–Child Horse Camp (New Offering)

I’m exploring the idea of offering a parent–child horse camp the week of July 21–24 at Delaney Stables.

This would be a small-group, hands-on introduction to horsemanship designed for a parent and child to learn side by side. The focus is on understanding horses from the ground up—daily care, handling, grooming, and riding—while building confidence and shared experience.

No prior experience is needed.

Details:
Tuesday–Friday, 9:00–1:00
$400 per participant
Small group format

This week will run with a minimum of 4 participants. If you’re interested, please reach out or send a deposit to hold a tentative spot while I gauge interest.

🐴 Starting TODAY — 6-Week Horsemanship Session (Grades K–8) - through the Hartland Vermont Recreation Center 🐴

There’s still time to jump in!

Our 6-week horsemanship session begins today, and we have a few last-minute openings for young horse lovers in grades K–8. This is a hands-on, confidence-building experience where students learn far more than just riding — they develop real skills in horse care, communication, responsibility, and teamwork.

Each session blends groundwork, horse handling, and riding in a supportive, engaging environment where every child progresses at their own pace. Whether your child is brand new or already horse-crazy, they’ll find their place here.

All towns welcome. The rec will provide transportation from the Hartland elementary school and back to the rec center. Class starts at 3:00 and runs to 4:00. Sign up through the rec center and bring your child along!

‼️🐴🥼Exciting News from Walpole Veterinary Hospital!🥼🐴‼️
We are thrilled to announce the addition of two outstanding veterinarians to our team: Dr. Morgan Ferland, a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University, and Dr. Melissa Vogellus, who joins us from Cornell University. Both Dr. Ferland and Dr. Vogellus bring a wealth of knowledge and a passion for veterinary medicine, and we are delighted to welcome them to our hospital family.
With their arrival, we are pleased to expand our services to include equine medicine! In addition to our trusted large animal and small animal care, Walpole Veterinary Hospital will now be seeing equine patients. Our new equine services will be available starting June 1st.
