Flair Earns NAVHDA Utility Prize 1
I am so proud to announce that Flair earned her NAVHDA Utility Prize 1 this past weekend.
What makes this accomplishment especially meaningful is the journey behind it. Just eleven weeks after whelping her litter, Flair returned to the Utility Test with only two training sessions on a very large duck search pond. Despite the limited preparation, she stepped back into the field as though she had never left, confidently demonstrating the drive, intelligence, and determination that make her such a special dog.
The large pond, complete with ample aquatic vegetation, allowed Flair to fully showcase her natural duck search abilities. She performed with confidence throughout the test and did not miss a beat.
This achievement is particularly rewarding because Flair came to us as an adult dog and trusted our training and has done nothing but impress us with her talent. In that relatively short time, she has exceeded every expectation, developing into a talented hunting companion, devoted family dog, and outstanding representative of the qualities we strive to preserve in our breeding program.
As a Nemes offspring, Flair holds a special place in our hearts. Earning a Utility Prize 1 is a wonderful milestone, and we could not be prouder of her accomplishment.
We are also grateful to the SEMI Chapter for hosting such a well-run test, and to all of the volunteers and judges whose time and dedication make these opportunities possible.
