One final note to cap off a fabulous day:
The last time I stepped foot on this show ground I was 7 years old. I was hopeful, determined, and ecstatic to be competing in my first crossrail class, just itching for a blue ribbon. The day didn’t end up as planned, in fact I’m pretty sure I ended up not making it around the course😂 I left happy anyway because I knew everyone around me, especially my mom, was proud of me for giving it my all- even if I had planned to be in the Olympics by now (7 year old me would be in for a world of surprise knowing that was not the case!)
My point with this story is that on that day, I realized ribbons didn’t really matter. They make us feel really incredible and are a great way to remember certain accomplishments or times in our lives, and to that of which I have some beautiful ribbons to commemorate past accomplishments. What truly matters is having fun with our most special four legged teammates, and making endless memories with friends who become family.
These three girls helped me to remember what this sport is all about today- having fun, giving your all in that ring, and always remembering to pat your ponies. I am overwhelmed looking at this next generation of riders in front of me- the future is so very bright ✨⭐️💫
