FOUND DOG: Found in the area of Orchard Blvd. and Lawndale Dr. in Parma Heights.
Note: This dog is quite fast, very happy, and more than a little yappy.

The moment you’ve all been waiting for; the Parma Heights/Parma Reservoir Paw (Dog) Park is now officially open!

The best address to get you there is 6098 Deering Avenue in Parma Heights. If you take Reservoir Drive off Pearl Road, then go right on Deering Avenue, which soon curves off to the left, and go all the way to the back of the park, you’ll soon see the large fenced in Paw Park!

Enjoy some photos from today’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! This was truly a multi city and multi organizational effort with amazing results. 🐾🐕🐶🐩🐾

UPDATE: I'm officially adopted! 🐱🐾🐾🏠

This handsome fluffy-pants is Monterey Jack! 🧡🧡 Just look at those ear tufts!

Monterey Jack is an old soul wrapped in the body of a playful, curious, kitten. He loves to play and romp, but he also loves to observe and be stoic. 😹😹 He’s truly just a chill, easy-going guy who is perfectly happy soaking up the sun, and the love from his favorite people. 🧡

Monterey Jack gets along with cats and kids, but has never met a dog.

Monterey Jack’s adoption fee is $80. He is neutered, FIV/FeLV negative and up to date on all his medical.

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES! Our current voicemail system is struggling to keep up with demand. We are working with our IT department to implement a drop-down menu to our phone call receiving system to help callers best navigate their concern(s)! This big update should be done by this weekend (08/07/2026).

DID YOU KNOW: We received 865 community phone inquiries in 2025! So far in 2026, we are at 563! At present, our department has only one Animal Control Officer who responds to all of these- while also fulfilling the departments many other obligations!

Mark your calendars. A new dog park is opening soon! 🐶🐾

Barked about for years, a shared Parma Heights and Parma dog park is set to open with a 5 p.m. Aug. 5 ribbon-cutting ceremony at Reservoir Park.
