When I read this, I hear him saying, "I don't have the ability to keep a dog by my side when using a harness".
To me, it just makes him incapable of a very simple task. In over 30 years of working with dogs and puppies, I have never had anyone say to me they are unable to teach their dog to walk by their side using a harness.
Never have I once put a harness on a dog for the purpose of pulling me.
Not to mention, a leash and harness are 2 separate things. Is it the harness or the leash?? I'm pretty sure you use a leash to connect to a harness. Have I been doing it wrong this entire time?
I think this is a great statement to spread around and show the world. I'm gonna try to be polite and end it there...

Thanksgiving Survival Mindset

Thanksgiving is coming, and you're already stressed about your dog's behavior.
But what if we shifted the goal?

Instead of "my dog needs to be perfect," what if it were "we all need to just get through this peacefully"?

Perfect is exhausting! Peace is achievable…

Peace might look like your dog in another room for a bit, and that's OKAY!
Using management instead of training.
Accepting "good enough."
Choosing CALM over performance.

Your relatives might not understand. They might make comments.

But you know what? Your dog's emotional well-being matters more than anyone's opinion.

This Thanksgiving, give yourself permission to do whatever it takes to keep everyone safe and relatively calm. Remember, your dog mirrors YOU! If you are CALM, they are relaxed.

That's success! A peaceful feeling! Full stop.
