Meet Enzo

This handsome polydactyl Maine C**n came to us for a CT scan and a Ventral Bulla Osteotomy (VBO) to remove an ear polyp that had been causing chronic ear infections and discomfort.

With all those extra toe beans, Enzo was clearly built for making biscuits — not dealing with painful ears. Thankfully, he’s now on the road to feeling much more comfortable and getting back to his important Maine C**n duties: looking majestic and showing off those bonus paws.

Meet Indigo Jean Westcott, a 1-year-old miniature Dachshund with a big personality and a unique orthopedic challenge.

Indigo presented to CARE for bilateral hindlimb mobility issues. After performing a CT scan, Dr. Kroner discovered she had a condition called pes varus—an angular limb deformity that caused her shin bones to become severely bowed.

To create the best possible surgical plan, Dr. Kroner partnered with Vet3D, an orthopedic planning company in Europe. Using Indigo’s CT images, their team designed patient-specific cutting guides and custom implants tailored to her anatomy. This advanced technology allowed for a more precise correction, reduced surgical risk, and the ability to address both limbs during a single anesthetic event.

Cases like Indigo’s highlight how innovative imaging, advanced surgical planning, and custom implant technology are transforming veterinary medicine and improving outcomes for patients with complex orthopedic conditions.

We’re excited to share Indigo’s story and look forward to following her progress on the road to recovery.

Meet Lexi.

This little cutie came to CARE for her right TPLO repair, and she made sure we never forget about her. If the pets stopped for even a second, she let out the cutest squeals to remind us that more attention is required immediately 🥹.

Meet sweet Casey 🐾

This adorable girl came to CARE for her TPLO repair, and she quickly won everyone over with her hilarious faces and her very enthusiastic face-sniffing skills.

Typical Shorthair behavior—full of personality and zero concept of personal space! We’re so happy to be helping her on the road to recovery.

Meet Bernie 💙

He’s here for an abdominal exploratory to rule out a GI foreign body, plus a gastropexy to help prevent GDV or “bloat” in the future.

Bernie was referred to us same-day by a local veterinary hospital, and we were happy to jump in and help. Teamwork like this is what community veterinary medicine is all about.

This sweet Joey boy was here for a bilateral medial luxating patella repair—and he’s already stolen all of our hearts.

Don’t let the cute face fool you… if you take too long getting over for pets, he’ll let you know with the loudest little grunts 😂

We’re so lucky to take care of patients like Joey!
