Here's what his family have to say about adopting Alfie:
"Alfie has settled in great with our family. He gets along fabulously with his brother Archie and is such a snuggle bug. He's a big fan of ice cubes and will come running when he hears us use the ice maker. Papa C and I have gotten married since adopting Alfie, and we featured Alfie and Archie in our wedding by providing temporary tattoos of their faces, and naming our signature drinks after them. He joined our family at the perfect time and we couldn't be happier to get to love him."

Help us to find Sammy's Forever Home 💛
Sammy would love nothing more than to find his people. He was found as a stray in Miami and is so very ready to have a home of his own.
Sammy is a wire-haired dachshund around 10 years old. He does well with dogs who are not super active, calm, and his size. Sammy has some vision impairments, but he adapts very well. He is being fostered in Miami and we have the capability to offer transport to northern FL, GA, and SC. If you live further and are interested, you would need to meet us there 🤝. Foster Nutmeg is learning the ropes of leash walking 🚶🤎.
At 8 years old she has not been taught how to walk on a leash -- at first she said "Hard Pass" but then started to enjoy herself with the resident pups in her foster home.

Nutmeg is currently available for adoption from the Atlanta, GA area. She would do best in a fenced yard while she continues to learn that leash walking is a great activity! Read all about her on our website 🙌

Adopt Nutmeg 🤎
Currently being fostered in Georgia, Nutmeg is a part of the 7️⃣ Sweethearts we took in last month. At 8 years old, beautiful Nutmeg has not been the most socialized gal, so slow introductions would be best for her. She is used to being around dogs her own size. Having never been leash walked, Nutmeg will need a fenced in space for outdoors time while she learns the ropes of leash walking. Once Nutmeg feels safe and comfortable, she'll be your best little companion.
House training for Nutmeg is still a work in progress -- she is doing great on a strict schedule. Nutmeg is good in the car and is a candidate for transport that can be done in a single day.

Millie Update ❤️‍🩹
Millie is now just over a week post IVDD surgery. Thank you to the generous folks who donated toward her $10k surgery, and to those who engaged with our post/fundraiser to help get the word out 🤝.
Millie went down with IVDD in both cervical AND lumbar portions of her spine. She has not yet found an adopter, but is looking for one!

Here's what her Foster Mama P has to say about Millie and her recovery:
"She is the sweetest little lady. Out to potty and back to her pen to rest. I sit with her, rub on her, and talk to her throughout the day. She is an angel. Eating well, takes her meds like a champ. I have one of my Furbo cameras on her when I go outside or in the other room. She doesn’t seem to have separation anxiety issues."

She is a 7yo gal currently being fostered in Miami. Ryce needs a home where she will be the only pet. She'll love going on walks with her new family and she is friendly with people although she is not a super snuggly dog.
We are able to offer transport as far north as the FL/GA/SC line 🚙

Black beauty Pearl 🤍 is another one of the 7️⃣ Sweethearts up for adoption. Currently being fostered in North Carolina. Pearl hasn't had a lot of socialization and training, but she's made a lot of progress in a short time. She is now potty trained, but is still a bit skittish and doesn’t fully understand thresholds. She's still learning leash walking and would benefit from a fenced yard. At 6 years old, Pearl gets along well with other dogs and would love a calm doggo companion who can help her learn the ropes. Due to Pearl's insecurities, no small children in the house.

Handsome Ditto is currently being fostered in Georgia. He is 10 months old and a super active guy! Things to consider about Ditto before applying simply because he is young and cute:
🐾 Ditto is not yet fully house trained
🐾 Ditto is just now learning leash training
🐾 Ditto needs a fenced yard
🐾 Ditto is an active puppy who needs lots of exercise and mental stimulation -- remember, dachshunds are an active working breed.
🐾 He's been around other dogs his whole life so a doggo buddy or 2 or 3 would be a fine idea

Aside from the big fundraisers we post about, all of your donations go to routine vetting of our foster dogs. Like Hannah here 👋 🤎.
Hannah came in to rescue at 8 years old with only a Rabies shot and microchip.

Lil Bit would like to make her way just a 'lil bit' closer to adoption 🤎 😉
Currently being fostered in West Virginia, almost 3-year-old Lil Bit would love to find herself her very own family after her mama died. Lil Bit is a Doxie-Pom mix and the gentlest gal around. Lil Bit is good with all dogs. She has high energy, so be prepared for daily walks of 30+ minutes in addition to yard play time and mental stimulation/enrichment.
Lil Bit can travel a reasonable distance to her forever home 🏠.
