Little Paws Dachshund Rescue is an East Coast-based rescue www.littlepawsdr.org We are 501c3 100% Non-Profit and solely depend on YOUR DONATIONS!

Someone wants this cute face, we know it! Adopt Albert!
Albert is 13yo and looking for a cozy home for retirement. He has Cushing's Disease and happily takes his daily meds 💊. He is good with other doggos and loves a solid snooze.
Albert loves to roam around a grassy yard, and because he is a chatty boy he may not do well with shared walls.
Located in North Carolina, Albert can travel within reason to his forever family.

Paisley came to us when her owners decided to have her live outdoors (in Miami 🥵) because of the new baby. But Paisley is the original baby! She's back indoors at her foster home, and living her best retirement as a foster dog - soon to be ready for adoption!

She is very spry for a 14yo and would fit into most families! She is good with people and other dogs, but unknown with cats. Located in South Carolina, Penny Lane is able to travel a reasonable distance to her forever family.

The Doctor is IN and looking for his Retirement Home ☀️
Dr. Frank, a sweet senior guy, is looking for a family where he can be his fun, quirky, and playful self. Dr. Frank is good with all people and dogs. He is currently be fostered in Virginia and can travel a reasonable distance to his forever home. Dr. Frank has a history of bladder stones and is on a prescription diet to keep them at bay.

Alum Penny is loving her life 😃
Penny was surrendered when her owner moved and left her with a friend. The friend did not have time for an energetic puppy. Newly rescued, here's what Penny's forever family have to say about her:
"Penny is a pint-sized dynamo with a personality that could fill a stadium! When she’s not overseeing her family’s every move, you can find her living life to the fullest—whether it’s strutting around on her evening walk or chasing rabbits in the backyard (she's convinced that one day, she'll catch one and finally get a taste of the thrill). Water? Yes, please! Camping? Bring it on! Car rides? The more, the merrier! But above all, Penny’s greatest love is being with her humans—especially her momma."

Charlie is looking for his own very special home 🤎

At 11 years old, Charlie is an IVDD survivor and is able to wobbly walk, scoot around, and use wheels. How dynamic! Last year Charlie was also diagnosed with diabetes and is a champ at taking his twice daily injections.

Currently located in Virginia, Charlie will melt your heart. He has a very sweet disposition with his humans. He takes time to warm up to resident doggos. A home without small children and cats would be best for Charlie. Charlie has a lot of spirit and loves romping around outdoors or taking a stroll in his stroller.

At 3 years old, Gerta found her way into rescue when she would not listen to commands and had accidents in the house and was nippy with the grandies. In the grand scheme of things, she sounds like a

Now Gerta is looking for her forever family. Here are some important things to know:
🐾 Gerta is undergoing heartworm treatment and we will continue to pay for her treatment until she tests negative (possibly another 3-6 months).
🐾 Good with male dogs and only female dogs that are larger than Gerta
🐾 House trained 🙌
🐾 High energy, playful, spirited
🐾 Older children only
🐾 Apartment appropriate

Aspen's Wishlist 💛
A senior stray picked up by animal control....in Miami! This is no way for a senior to live. Big cataracts, matted fur, and alone roaming in hot Miami. Horrible.

Newly dubbed Aspen was given a second chance when animal control found him and reached out. A kind and generous groomer offered to groom him for free 🥹. We'll be getting him to the vet to be checked out to see what else is going on. Surprisingly, little Aspen is in great spirits.
