Here at Zims Taxidermy we strive for the 1 year mark, with out sourcing our taning that does make it a little difficult to guarantee, but none the less we make it our goal to have YOUR deer back to you within a year. So far we are off to a good start, with getting Mr. Colton Fisher, his youth buck back to him on 9/10/25, which was brought to us on 9/17/2024.

We hope everyone has a blessed youth weekend here in Michigan and to everyone else a blessed deer season in just a few short weeks!

It’s still hard to take in but I lost a GREAT Friend and mentor! I was blessed with the past 10 years of knowing Keith and getting to learn everything he knew about Taxidermy! If it wasn’t for him I would’ve never started this business, he pushed me to take the risk and give it a shot. I hope to make him happy down here and strive to keep this going for Him!

Well I’ve had some down time from ZNC, so I’ve been in the shop the past couple weeks finishing up Turkey tails, going through this years hides, and finishing up a few of my own deer. A big thank you to all that brought in their birds this year and trust us with your trophy’s! The smiles on faces are why I love doing this! Miss Evie Jacoby was the first one to stop in and pick hers up and Beckett Sikorski to follow! I think those smiles say I did a good job! Thank you Evie and Beckett for trusting us with your very first Turkey and Congratulations!!

We’ve been working on a very special deer for a few weeks now. I have a lot of history with this buck, but unfortunately wasn’t the one to harvest him, he was taken by a NIPSCO truck! Luckily he was picked up by some very special guys, the owners of Mister Bratz! They decided to give this Great Buck the respect he deserves and we created an awesome pedistal mount to display in there store! I’d have to say I’m jealous he’s not in my living room, but very proud to say he is some of my best work!

Well we’ve been staying busy in the shop the last couple months, working on a good friends Turkey mount, there always last, and a few deer have been put together, along with a couple more Pack Mounts!

We also added on a little bit to the shop and had the floor done by a Great Guy!

Thank you all again for the business and we know the seasons are over, but if you have a deer in the freezer and would like to get it mounted, bring him by!

Well as usual I’m behind the times, but as most of us know deer season has come and gone! I’d like to take the time to say THANK YOU to EVERYONE who brought in a deer to the new shop this year and would also like to say THANK YOU to those that Referred us!

It has been a great year with over 30 bucks coming through the door! I am very excited for the years to come, hoping to take in more and more every year! We have been busy the last couple months prepping hides for the tanner, finishing up a few last minute turkeys, and putting a few shoulder mounts together. We also tried our hand in a Pack Mount, let us know what you think.

Our 2024 Hides are off to the tanner and were hoping for a quick return, with a quick turn around for shoulders of roughly 12-18 months at the most!
