Congratulations to Dr. Bunting on her 5-year anniversary with BVMC! Over the past five years, Dr. Bunting has become a client favorite thanks to her expertise in patient care, strong communication skills, and compassionate approach to veterinary medicine.

Dr. Bunting especially enjoys caring for her feline patients and is always happy to offer extra snuggles when needed. She adds depth to our veterinary team with her “under the microscope” pathology skills, her thorough dermatology workups and certified veterinary spinal manipulation services for the large and small animals! On the floor she willingly lends a hand to the smallest of tasks, and clients and staff find her approachable, willing to help attitude, one of her best qualities.

Raised on a farm surrounded by chickens, horses, cows, cats, and dogs, Dr. Bunting says she always knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. She was also the salutatorian of her high school class and participated in several competitive sports.

Dr. Bunting graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She earned her undergraduate degree from Murray State University in Kentucky in Agriculture with a focus on veterinary medicine while also completing a veterinary technician program and becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician.

Recently married, Dr. Bunting is excited to welcome her first child this December.

Crazy to think it is already June — time flies!

Celebrating 5 Years of Dedication at BVMC

Dr. Jordynne Pakes
Congratulations to Dr. Pakes on her 5-year anniversary with our veterinary team! Since joining BVMC in 2021 after graduating from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Pakes has become a valuable member of our clinic family.
Dr. Pakes is passionate about surgery, patient care, rehabilitation, and pain management. She consistently approaches each case with thoughtfulness and determination, willing to collaborate with teammates and explore new ways to achieve the best outcomes for her patients. Her calm, fear-free approach helps pets feel safe and comfortable during their visits, and her kindness is appreciated by both clients and coworkers alike.
Outside of work, Dr. Pakes enjoys dairy farming with her husband on their small family farm near Janesville. The couple recently welcomed their first child and are enjoying introducing him to farm life.

Congratulations to Bryce Grossen, veterinary assistant, on 5 years of service with the BVMC team! Bryce began his journey with us as part of the high school Youth Apprenticeship Program. Through this experience, he discovered both his passion for veterinary medicine and his place within our clinic family.

Today, Bryce plays an important role in both our large and small animal departments. Whether assisting veterinarians on farm calls or helping check in patients at the clinic, Bryce consistently demonstrates professionalism, a positive attitude, and a willingness to help wherever needed.

Raised on a farm outside of Monroe, Bryce developed a strong passion for large animal care at a young age. He was actively involved in FFA and 4-H and spent many years participating in poultry showing, breeding, and husbandry. His hard work and dedication earned him several honors, including the American FFA Degree.

Thank you, Bryce, for your dedication, strong work ethic, and “can-do” attitude. Your contributions help make BVMC a better place for both our team and the clients we serve each day.

We are saddened to hear the passing of Dr. John Carson. As a veterinarian and former owner, he helped shape the foundation of the practice and touched the lives of many clients, patients, and team members over the years.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew him. May he be remembered for his dedication, compassion, and love for animals.

We are seeking a personable, compassionate individual for our 16-doctor mixed animal practice. Qualified candidates are hardworking, self-motivated, and detail oriented. Individuals with exceptional communication skills and adaptation to a team setting is essential. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: patient care, laboratory procedures, surgical monitoring, dentistry, radiology, and laser therapy.
