Meet Deja, one of our amazing Client Service Representatives. Growing up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a country girl at heart, Deja’s passion for animals began at a very young age. By the time she was eight, she had already started her own pet-sitting and dog-walking service. By high school, spending time volunteering at local shelters and stables only deepened that connection, and eventually inspired her to study Animal Sciences in college—where she also had the incredible experience of becoming a Division II collegiate volleyball champion.
As she progressed in her studies, Deja discovered a strong interest in the client side of animal care, which led her to earn a degree in Healthcare Administration. Shortly after, she found her place as a Veterinary Receptionist—a role that allows her to be a comforting, cheerful presence for pet parents during both joyful and challenging times.
Outside of work, you can find her coaching high school and travel volleyball, cooking dishes made with love, traveling the world with friends, or diving into her graduate studies. She’s passionate about building meaningful relationships and strives to bring positivity and warmth to every interaction here at Summit.
