Fear Free Spotlight! 💜 Success doesn't always happen in a single visit—and Magni is the perfect example of why patience is so powerful.

When Magni first came to us, veterinary visits were filled with fear, anxiety, and stress. Instead of forcing him through procedures, we slowed down. Through cooperative care training, confidence-building visits, and plenty of positive experiences over the past two years, Magni has learned that the veterinary hospital can be a safe place.

Now? He willingly places his nose into his muzzle, and this week, Rosanna, LVT, was able to collect blood for his first heartworm test in years. 🎉

This milestone isn't just about getting bloodwork - it's about trust. It's about giving Magni a voice in his care and helping him feel safe enough to participate. That's what Fear Free medicine is all about, and we're so proud of how far he's come.

Way to go, Magni! We're SO honored to be part of your journey. 💜🐾

Today, we're excited to introduce you to Anne, one of our wonderful Veterinary Assistants! ✨

Anne grew up in the northern Virginia area and has always had a love for all animals. Her love for animals grew into a passion for animal care after her first cat passed away unexpectedly and left her wondering if there was anything else she could have done. She became a veterinary assistant in 2008 and now can’t see herself doing anything else.

People often think veterinary technicians only work with cats and dogs, but their training goes far beyond that! 🐄💜

Christina, one of our fabulous LVT students, is completing the final portion of her technician schooling, which includes hands-on experience with large animals like this beautiful cow! Veterinary technicians are trained to care for a wide variety of species, learning everything from anatomy and handling techniques to nursing care and medical procedures across many different animals.

We're so proud to support Christina as she reaches this exciting milestone. Her dedication, curiosity, and willingness to keep learning are exactly what make great veterinary professionals. Congratulations, Christina - we can't wait to see all you'll accomplish! 💜
