What a beautiful and emotional day! 💚

Dr. Lofgren worked tirelessly, with incredible skill and steady hands, to amputate Ron’s damaged wing. KJ was right beside her assisting, while Alaina (Ron’s amazing medical foster) stood by watching, holding onto every bit of hope that he would make it through surgery without complications.

And he did! ❤️‍🩹

Ron still has a long road of recovery ahead, but today he officially reached the healing side of his journey.

We are sooo grateful to Dr. Lofgren and the entire veterinary team at Mountain West Veterinary Specialists for their dedication they gave this sweet boy. We are equally thankful for Alaina, who has cared for him so lovingly every step of the way.

To our incredible community, supporters, and donors: none of this would have been possible without you. Every donation, share, prayer, and encouraging word helped give Ron the lifesaving care he desperately needed. You showed up for him in the most beautiful way, and because of all of you, he now has the chance to heal and begin a safer, happier life.

Can you believe it?! Because I hardly can. Thanks to yesterday’s incredible donors, we are officially at 62.1% of our goal for Ron’s medical care! ❤️‍🩹 We are incredibly blessed to have such an amazing community behind us… people who want nothing more than to see these sweet, innocent animals receive the second chances they deserve.

Today we received the actual estimate for Ron’s medical care. ❤️‍🩹

Yesterday, Ron had another X-ray because of the metal that was found in his intestinal tract. The good news is that it looks like he’s passing it on his own but he’s not just passing chunks of metal… he’s also passing rocks. 💔 We can only imagine what this sweet boy’s life looked like before he came to us.

Ron has a long road ahead of him, but we’re going to be right there with him every step of the way.

His wing amputation is officially scheduled for September 4th at 2PM. Until then, his incredible medical foster (a vet tech at MWVS) is keeping him comfortable, medicated, monitored, and VERY loved.

Thanks to all of you, we are nearly halfway to our fundraising goal! Every single donation adds up and gets Ron closer to the care he desperately needs.

He spent far too long without someone fighting for him.

Now he has ALL OF US!!! 💚
