Ranger here has brought a message about water safety!
☀️ Warmer weather means more opportunities for outdoor fun—including water play! Whether your pet loves sprinklers, kiddie pools, lake days, or beach trips, water can be a great way to help them stay active and cool. 🐾💦
A few water safety reminders for pet parents:
• Always supervise pets around water—even strong swimmers can tire quickly
• Consider a life jacket for boating, kayaking, or deep/open water adventures
• Bring fresh drinking water to help prevent pets from drinking pool, lake, or salt water
• Rinse your pet off after swimming to remove chlorine, salt, algae, or bacteria
• Dry ears well after swimming, especially in dogs prone to ear infections
• Watch for signs of fatigue, overheating, or distress like excessive panting, weakness, or struggling in the water
Not all pets are natural swimmers, and that’s okay! The goal is safe, fun enrichment while staying cool this spring and summer. ☀️🐶🐱
