I have had Chesapeake Bay Retrievers since 1972 and my Grandpa had them all his life and used them for market hunting back in the 1920’s and early 1930’s. I can remember him all ways telling me they will never let you down! I have used them for personal hunting and companions all my life. When I got married later in life my wife fell in love with my dogs and wanted to try breeding them, that is how Bigbaydogs started and we strive on breeding the best Chesapeakes we can to keep this Great breed going on doing what they were breed for. All of our dogs Hunt, compete in hunt tests, and are now starting to compete on the bench all so. They all have their hips, elbows, eyes tested and OFA graded and are DNA tested for DM, EIC and PRA. We do not breed dogs that do not test out good.
