ADOPTION: Congratulations to Jesi & Dave on their adoption of "Baby", companion for "Fizzgig".

These two boys are the most sensitive, timid ferrets ever. They weren't snuggling together right from the start. With time, and a slow and gradual approach, the relationship showed great potential.

Pairing up ferrets is not always as simple as one might think. We all have different personalities and preferences. Our speed dating approach has served this purpose well.

SURRENDER & ADOPTION: "Linus" has been returned to the shelter, by no fault of his own. Linus is a quiet, snuggle bug who just wants to spend time with his humans sleeping in their arms. He didn't fit the bill.

Mickenzy was looking for a more playful, exuberant ferret. Surrenders and returns are perfectly fine. We need everyone to be happy with the new family member.

It is written into our adoption contract that any animal adopted from our facility must be returned to us in the event that rehoming is desired.

Mickenzy subsequently chose "Nugget" & "Tyson". Nugget is a little firecracker so this should be a much better fit.

ADOPTION: Congratulations to Mickenzy on her adoption of "Linus". Linus was the stray found in Culpeper last month. Multiple attempts to socialize him with others have been unsuccessful. He will love being the only ferret in the household, with unlimited human attention and snuggles. Yay, Linus! 🩵

Our address is 19524 Swamp Poodle Lane, Brandy Station, VA 22714. We do not ship or provide transport for the animals to your location. All adoptions are out of our main shelter facility in Brandy Station. We will never ask for or accept money to hold a ferret with a deposit. Don't be fooled by the scams who make these requests.

Our FB page continues to be plagued with scammers trying to redirect you to their sites. They have stollen our photos to advertise our ferrets as their own. Look for our logo in the background of their posted pics.

He is fairly timid, a sensitive soul. He would not do well with a ferret that would be up and in his face. A warm snuggle buddy to share his hammock and perhaps someone to chase him through the tubes is all that he requires.

ADOPTION: Congratulations to Josh and Hayden on their adoption of "Altair". This guy had lost his companion several months ago. Ever since then he has not been getting along well with others. He loves his people but not other ferrets. We can't wait to hear how he does with the household cat and dog. We are thinking he is going to love his new family. Stay tuned.

Josh is a repeat NRFR adopter. He adopted his first two ferrets back in 2019.

NEW BOARDERS: We are caring for William's three ferrets this holiday week.

"Squeakers", "Leroy" & "Old Man Otto" are all Nirvana Ridge Ferret Rescue alumni. We just love having the opportunity to see our kids grow up over time after the adoption.❤️

UPDATE: Happy 1st Year Gotcha Day to Matt & Mary on their adoption of "Squiggs", "Farrah" & "Ellie".

These three girls were completely unrelated prior to adoption. Since then, they have bonded into an intensely close sister relationship.

The girls are extremely well cared for. They enjoy being at the pool, out at the first snowfall, camping and traveling around the country. They continue to be the apple of Daddy's eye. ❤️
