ANIMAL SHELTERS THAT TAKE IN POCKET ANIMALS LIKE OURS ARE OVERWHELMED BIG TIME WITH GUINEA PIGS ITS AWFUL... so so many surrenders of Guinea pigs.. and always in pairs 2 sometimes 4 or more. ( these people buy them for there kids and then 1-2 years later the guinea pigs become " throw aways" unwanted because they do not want to clean up after them and and don't have the time for them anymore and the kids loose interest in these poor guinea pigs and now they need to find a place and have become HOMELESS.

ITS THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN !!!! the loud bagging shooting noise in the sky !!!

Protect ALL YOUR ANIMALS for sure .. even the wildlife find cover and the birds sometimes die from heart attacks..

( why not have silent fire works in the sky at least you see all the colors and display = but SILENCE !!!)

You pulled over like you were going to check the tires.

I knew before you opened the door.

The way your hands shook when you scratched behind my ears one last time. The way you wouldn’t meet my eyes when you whispered, “Be good.”

Then the click of the seatbelt release. The shove. The door slamming like a gunshot.

And just like that—I was nothing in your rearview mirror.

Funny thing about roads: They’re cold. They don’t smell like home. They stretch in both directions, and neither one leads back to you.

I ran after your car. Of course I did. (You knew I would.) My paws bled. My lungs burned. I thought if I could just catch up, you’d remember:
The time I chewed your favorite sandals and you laughed instead of yelling.
The way I always curled into your knees during thunderstorms.

But you didn’t stop.

Humans tell themselves stories: “I had no choice.” “They’ll find her a better home.”
But here’s the truth—you chose the coward’s way out.

You left me where the monsters are real:
Tires that don’t swerve.
Men who don’t care if a collar means someone loved me once.

I survived. Not for you. For me—the me who still wags at squirrels, who licks kids’ faces, who somehow, stupidly, would’ve forgiven you if you’d come back that first night.

NEWS FLASH: as a nonprofit this is scary.. not sure if applies to animal shelters/organizations but knowing this big bill it could !! As we have to file report our federal tax forms every year as a non profit.

Please SIGN SEND AND SHARE SHARE!!! all nonprofits are being attacked and the red flag is up with this BIG BILL !!

Tell the Senate to protect the nonprofit sector. Strip these harmful provisions from the bill before it's too late.

NEWS FLASH GOOD GREAT NEWS !!! CASPER HAS BEEN FOUND AND HE IS OK, lost some weight but doing ok.. HE HAS BEEN FOUND AND IS AT HOME !!!!

DO NOT CHASE. His name is Casper (Bubby). He has been missing since 5-18-2025. 3 years / 3 pounds and is cream and tan in color. SCARED. Do not call out to, chase or try to catch. Be on the lookout for this pup and report the sightings.

A Western Massachusetts dog rescue is struggling to find homes for its remaining dogs as it prepares to close its doors for good.
