This year we celebrate our 9th Annual Calendar Contest to raise funds to help keep our shelter guests in good health & great spirits

Submit your furry friend for a $15 donation and vote for just $1! Your pet doesn't have to be a WCHS Alumni and submissions aren't limited to just cats & dogs, we want to see all of the friends!

As you may know we at WCHS offer a food assistance program. Wood County Residents may apply for monthly assistance for up to 6 months at a time during financial hardships, We will do what we can to help you and your Furry companions as you recover. We also offer food assistance for caregivers of free-roaming cat colonies to encourage spaying and neutering, and continual care of these felines.

With that being said this program runs completely on donations from the community, everything you see in this photo has been donated to us!

Right now we are very low on
- Dry cat food
- Dry kitten food
- Kitten formula

Syd has been returned to us due to no fault of his own and is ready for another chance at a forever home!

This silly boy absolutely refuses to keep his tongue all the way in his mouth—and honestly, it just adds to his charm. 😋

Syd loves spending time outdoors and soaking up the fresh air. During his stay at WCHS, he enjoyed the company of children and can be quite attached to them! Syd wants to play with other dogs so with proper introduction e think he would do great with another dog! He's got a friendly personality and a happy-go-lucky attitude that makes everyone smile.
