3 year old Speckled highpark cow with her solid red Highpark calf 🎀. Great mom and easy to work. First time momma.

3 1/2 month old White Scottish highland 🎀 She’s letting me rub all over her head and turning out to be a sweet girl.

4 year old black frosted Scottish highland steer. He’s a sweet boy, easy to move, loves treats. Great companion for bulls and cows.

Meet Bunny 🐰
Our newest littkw one was born on Thursday morning. She’s a beautiful, sweet, spunky girl with a tiny tail. We aren’t sure if mom stepped on it or chewed off by accident. She’s perfect anyway!! It’s honestly so cute seeing her little bunny/deer looking tail move around. 😆 She has the softest coat and a beautiful white belly and utter.
Bunny is daughter of Clair our dun Scottish highland cow and Duncan our dun Scottish highland bull.
Super excited to watch her grow up!!

Late post!! We had 2 more calves more this week!!

Betty our British white gave birth to a beautiful flashy Highpark 💙 Sire is Duncan our dun Scottish highland. (This baby Needs a name)

Then Claire our dehorned Scottish highland had a cute little yellow 💗 She only has a tiny little tail though 🤔 So we named her Bunny.

Just one more cow to give birth anytime and then we get a several month break before we are in calving season again! So fingers crossed for a healthy baby that needs no assistance!!

We are on baby watch again! Elsa is showing all the signs and her mucus plug is to her knees. Send us good vibes for a healthy baby and a healthy delivery.

Y’all!!!! Let’s start with.. It was Another long but successful night! I called it earlier and said my belted Galloway would have her baby by tomorrow! Went out to the woods to do a cow check tonight. There she was with feet hanging out and sac still in tact. (Good news since last night wasn’t that way.) She wasn’t making much progress and it was clear this was a big calf. Again I find myself with bad timing and having to figure out things on my own. I got this!! After an hour of knowing she was in active labor with feet hanging out and no progress. I knew I had to help. I beared weight on the babies legs so mom would push. After 15 min I was able to get the nose and mouth out. It was alive! So I continued to bear weight to help momma. The strength I had to use was way more than what was needed with the last one! After 15 more min the calf was out! I cleared his throat and nose of fluids. Then I gave them 30 min to catch their bearings and do their natural thing. When I went back to check momma was up cleaning her baby. Her baby was up and it was clear he had already been nursing! Another successful night in our calving season. I’m just blessed to have these healthy babies and mommas doing exactly as nature intended. Now for a long good nights rest as we have 3 more to go this season! 👏 🥰❤️
