It’s kitten season at the pound. Right now, Tofu is the only one ready to be adopted. He’s a sweet boy, guessed to be close to three months old.
We often get asked what is needed at the pound. Right now, it looks like the biggest need is canned kitten food. Items can be dropped off at the Sullivan police department for animal control or you can drop off at our regularly scheduled Wednesday evenings at the pound between 6 and 7 pm. We are often there on weekends so we can make other plans to meet up! We will also be using your donations to pick up what is needed.
Thank you all for helping the pets in the Sullivan city pound.
And if you have a cat that hasn’t been spayed or neutered yet- it’s a great time to get that done. Just ask and we can point you in the direction of some low-cost programs.

😺 INTRODUCING FAWN ❤️—A mellow sweet girl who likes head rubs. 😁 I had my Jack Russel Timmy with me, and Fawn was interested in him from the distance of the top enclosure, not afraid. If you’d like to meet her, stop by Petsense Sullivan, and see if you make a connection. 😻

😺 MEET 2-STAIRS. ❤️ Abandoned male cat. Named “2-Stairs” because he’s often found hanging out on the first 2 stairs of the apartment building. 😅 Young adult 2-3years? Very cuddly. 🤗 Likes being picked up and held. Not a picky eater. Loves dogs and often acts like one. Ok with most cats. Prefers an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. 🥳 April 27 UPDATE: each of Jimmy’s 5 dogs has a place to stay for the week! 🐶 Thank you SO MUCH to all who are opening their hearts to Jimmy’s family and their homes to his dogs so they can all ultimately Stay Together. ❤️

URGENT NEED FOR 1 WEEK OF FOSTERING/BOARDING. Jimmy McDaniel who has been helping the community for years through his organization Dragons4Vets is now in need of some help himself. His family is moving out of their current home tomorrow (Monday, April-27), and will be staying at a hotel until next week Monday, May-4 when their new home will be ready to move into. The dogs are:

Chunk, neutered male, 70 #, vaccinated

Freya, female, 35 #, due for vaccinations this year

Tunnel Rat, neutered male, 30 #, vaccinated

Harley, neutered male, 115 #, 15 years old, due for vaccinations this year

Willow, spayed female, 30 #, vaccinated
