For all you Equine enthusiasts this coming Fri 5/30/25 you should check out the events at the 5 Star Horse sale.
On Friday morning 7:30 AM will be the finals for a c**t starting challenge that was started 12/1/24. A group of us local guys all started with a unstarted 2 yr old horse to see who could get one broke the best in 6 months.
On Jan 18 which is basically 6 weeks in we had a get together at Elmer Millers (5 Star Arena) to show the progress we had made. It consisted of catching,saddling,obstacle course and some free style and was a judged. The points earned there will carry over to the finals.
Friday will be a more advanced obstacle course and free style and will be judged by 3 different judges with highest scores winning
Certainly something that I have thoroughly enjoyed My c**t is a 2023 AQHA gelding by Bama Cat and out of daughter of Playing Stylish
So come on out to cheer on your favorite trainer 6 total

Banjo is loving life in CA. We love getting updates like this

Banjo is great! Everyone loves him and he's the prettiest on the ranch! Here he is Saturday with a developmentally disabled youth. We have a few handicapped kids riding with us and are developing their riding skills wonderfully. Thanks again for reaching out to me. Banjo is a special horse.

Talk about class ,size and shape take a good hard look at Casper. With all that mane and tail he is sure to catch your eye
A Percheron/Quarter cross gelding that is 4 years old and wise beyond his age. We have owned him since he was a weanling and done all the training here on our farm. He has the best disposition and is super friendly and is your best friend.
We have used him for all the chores here at home- ponying c**ts,moving cattle,dragging the arena,wagon rides. Really about anything you can imagine.
He is super confident on the trails and crosses water with ease and is really chill in new surroundings.
We have not had any soundness issues with him at all and is able to be left barefoot if you prefer. He has good structure with good bone but still not clumsy.
I feel he has a lot of potential as an English horse as he is forward and uphill. But rides western,bareback or whatever you prefer. And is good turned out with others or in a stall. He doesn’t need to be ridden regularly to stay good.

Talk about shape,disposition and pedigree all in one. Look at this guy. We call him Bandit. He is an own son of Guthrie City Limits who has sired a couple champions of Road to the Horse competition and from the famous 6666 Ranch. We have had a couple of his older siblings from the mare (My Basic Fancy) and they have all been so gentle and kind.
We bought him as a weanling and he has been here since. He was started as a 2 yr old and used more extensively last year. And we have exposed him about anything you can imagine and he just take’s it in stride
From moving cattle,riding lessons,trail riding and some local shows. He has a very nice extended trot if you want to show in the ranch trail. The option are endless with this guy.
He has 3 very comfortable gaits and collects up nicely with very smooth transitions.
He has always been sound and healthy for us and can be left barefoot if you prefer. He does good being turned out with others or is fine in a stall.
He doesn’t need to be ridden regularly to stay kind and gentle. And is good for the farrier,bathing and ect
And with all the bone and substance a person could ask for. Stands a strong 15.1 and will only thicken up with age. He gets compliments every time we take him out A total handsome individual with a mind to match. Absolutely safe and sane for anyone
At just 4 yrs old he has his whole life ahead of him and wise beyond his age.

Wow would you just stop and take a good hard look at this special individual. We are super excited to introduce you to Banjo. A 4 yr old cross bred gelding that we raised right here on our farm. He is out of a Percheron Morgan mare and sired by AQHA Skippinonabluestar See the pictures of his parents
He has been handled and messed since birth. Which makes him super gentle and he absolutely loves people
He was started under saddle and harness his 2 yr old year lightly and then used regularly last year here on our farm.
From wagon rides,dragging the arena,ponying c**ts, trail rides or really about anything you can imagine. O and last year he was part of a 4 horse stagecoach hitch that we put together for a friends wedding.
He has 3 comfortable gaits and collects up nicely with a big trot,so could go so many different directions
We feel he is the perfect size 15.3 with good bone and structure and still very athletic. He is strong from the horn and has some run when asked.
He has always been sound and healthy for us and we kept him barefoot most of the time.
He is current on all vaccinations,deworming and dental work.
He is absolutely gentle and kind in every way and won’t get fresh with time off. He is more of a forward moving type and will move out easily so we feel he is not for a green type rider.
