It's the First Day of Summer! ☀️ Time to jump in like Buster and make amazing memories with your furry best friend!

We know you want to include your pets in all the warm-weather fun, so here are a few ideas for pet-friendly summer activities:

Pawsitive Walks: Explore new trails or parks during cooler morning/evening hours. Remember fresh water for both of you!
Splash into Fun: Set up a kiddie pool in your yard for a refreshing cool-down. Some public parks even have pet-friendly splash pads!
Patio Pals: Find pet-friendly restaurants with outdoor seating and enjoy a meal together.
Shady Adventures: Opt for activities that offer plenty of shade, especially during peak heat.
Remember: Always prioritize your pet's safety. Check the pavement temperature, provide constant access to water, and never leave them in a hot car, even for a minute.

This is a tough one to share, but we wanted to update you all on our brave boy, Buster Keaton. Many of you know Buster's story—he's the sweet cat who survived a dog attack earlier this year and underwent a major jaw surgery. He's been recovering so diligently, a true testament to his fighting spirit.

Unfortunately, we've just received some difficult news. Buster's jaw isn't healing as expected, and he'll need an additional reset surgery. This is a significant setback, and our hearts ache for this resilient little guy who has already endured so much.

Despite everything, Buster Keaton continues to show incredible strength and an inspiring will to live. He's still working so hard to get back to full health, and he absolutely deserves the world – a world where he's safe, loved, and finally in his forever home. Yes, even through all of this, Buster is still searching for the loving family who will cherish him.

During National Pet Preparedness Month, let's talk about hot pavement. Blacktop and concrete can reach scorching temperatures, easily burning your pet's paw pads. A good rule of thumb: if the ground is too hot for your bare hand, it's too hot for their paws! Walk your dogs on grass or dirt, or consider booties during peak heat to protect their sensitive feet.
