🌾 Mark Your Calendar! 🌾. The Boerne Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas is thrilled to welcome Edward "Eddie" Seidensticker as our guest speaker on Native Grasses of the Texas Hill Country 🌿
Eddie was raised on his family ranch near Waring, TX, and spent 40 years with the Soil Conservation Service, specializing in conservation and coastal erosion. He currently serves on the boards of both the Kendall Soil & Water Conservation District and the Kendall County Historical Commission.

At NPSOT we celebrate all sizes! Check out these tiny moths, barely 3/8th of an inch long, on a Tropical Salvia! Salvia coccinea (a.k.a. Tropical Salvia or Scarlet Sage) is a specific type of Salvia that the tiny Southern Pink Moth utilizes as a food source for its larvae. So it’s likely that these tiny moths are laying eggs. When the eggs hatch, the caterpillars will eat the flower buds of the Scarlet Sage plant and then turn into moths, unless a lucky bird finds them first!

Met 2 more Center Point residents who have lost their homes. Both were permanent residents at Guadalupe Keys RV Resort. If you have an RV (need 2) that you would like to donate it I can get it into the right hands. Just needs to sleep 1-2.

"Things" are no longer needed. I drove past overflowing storage/receiving areas each day this week and have passed several trucks with pallets of water and food. Kudos to this community - and communities from other states and Mexico for stepping up!

Two trusted sites are Center Point, TX and (unsure why I can't tag) because I personally know the people who run them.

There are multiple gofundme's and Amazon wishlist up, as well as volunteer opportunities.

Also, remember that it is awesome to help now - but keep an eye out in the coming months. It takes time to rebuild, to grieve, and to recover from the horrifying events that took place just last week.
