This gorgeous 5-year-old, 19-pound dachshund is as sweet as her name suggests. Melody is a total lovebug who adores toys, snuggles, and being close to her people. She’ll happily be your little shadow, following you from room to room with her wagging tail and gentle eyes.

We are so happy to announce that one of our very own Charming Pet Rescue team members is now creating our SUPER CUTE CPR tees & hoodies! 🐾💙

In the past, we used two wonderful companies who did a great job — but because they needed to make a profit, our rescue only earned about $2–$3 per shirt. Instead of continuing to mark shirts up just to earn a tiny profit, we decided we’d rather NOT make a profit at all so that YOU get the savings directly! 🙌

That means lower prices, cuter shirts, and more people repping Charming Pet Rescue without the extra cost. Win-win!

If you’ve been looking for a gentle soul to fill your home with love, look no further. 💛

Linus is a sweet 13.5-year-old, 14-pound gentleman who came to us after his owner passed away. His remaining family adored him but couldn’t give him the time and attention he deserved — so now we’re helping him find the perfect place to spend his golden years. ✨

This little guy is everything you could want in a senior companion:
🐾 Fully house trained
🐾 Calm, polite, and well-mannered
🐾 Great with other dogs
🐾 A+ at following his person from room to room
🐾 A little vision-impaired, but FULL of heart

Linus may have lost some of his sight, but he hasn’t lost an ounce of love. He’s ready to be someone’s shadow, snuggle buddy, and loyal best friend. ❤️

Meet Charlotte Russe! Charlotte is 3 years old. She was originally adopted from us as a kitten, but was returned to us a few months ago as her owner was no longer able to care for her. Much like the dessert she is named after, Charlotte is a sweet, no fuss girl who would like nothing better than to curl up with you on the couch and watch your favorite shows & movies with you. Charlotte is tolerant of her cattery-mates, but would also be perfectly happy being an only child. Charlotte’s entire adoption fee has been sponsored through our Light Their Way Home campaign. Piper and her sister Chloe were picked up as strays and ended up in a high-kill shelter, but everything changed the moment they came into rescue. Piper has bloomed into the sweetest, most affectionate little companion. She’s gentle, loving, and happiest when she’s snuggled up right beside her person. She melts into your arms like she’s been waiting her whole life for that moment. ✨

Bradley is an 8-month-old, 17-pound bundle of pure joy wrapped in a brindle coat! This high-energy, toy-obsessed goofball loves nothing more than a good game of chase—whether it’s with his dog friends or his favorite squeaky toy.
He’s as sweet as they come and has a wonderfully submissive, gentle personality. Bradley gets along great with other dogs and is always ready for a cuddle session once the zoomies are out of his system.

The Importance of Spay & Neuter in San Antonio 🐾❤️

San Antonio is in the middle of a massive animal overpopulation crisis. Every single day, shelters and rescues are pushed beyond their limits — not because people don’t care, but because there are simply too many animals being born and not enough homes for them.

Spaying and neutering isn’t just a “good idea.” It’s one of the most powerful ways we can save lives right here in our community.

Why it matters:

🐶 Thousands of unwanted litters
Every unaltered dog or cat can lead to dozens — sometimes hundreds — of puppies or kittens over a few years. Many of them end up roaming the streets, surrendered to shelters, or never make it out of overcrowded facilities.

🏥 Healthier pets
Spayed and neutered pets live longer, healthier lives. They’re at less risk for cancers, infections, roaming, and dangerous fights.

🐾 Fewer strays suffering on the streets
San Antonio has far too many homeless animals struggling to survive in dangerous conditions. Preventing unwanted litters directly reduces suffering.

💙 It helps shelters and rescues save more lives
When fewer accidental litters are born, groups like Charming Pet Rescue can focus on the dogs and cats who truly need help — the abandoned, the abused, the injured, and the overlooked.
