A nerve signal runs on oxygen. 🧠

Around a spinal lesion sits a rim of tissue that’s still alive but no longer being fed. Swelling squeezes the vessels shut, and those neurons die from hypoxia rather than impact.

Under 2.0 ATA:
→ Vessels constrict, so less fluid leaks into neural tissue — and oxygen delivery never drops with them
→ Oxygen dissolves into plasma and CSF, bypassing the vessels the injury closed
→ New vessel growth and neuroplastic signalling help rebuild the pathway

Used early, alongside surgery — not instead of it.

The bite is over in a second. The venom isn’t. 🐍

Swelling squeezes the capillaries shut, and tissue at the margin gets cut off — still alive, just starved. That’s when the damage becomes permanent.

At 2.0 ATA, oxygen dissolves into plasma and reaches 3–4× farther than red cells can carry it:

→ Fights bacteria, reduces inflammation
→ Increases tissue oxygenation
→ Limits necrosis and muscle damage
→ Supports healing and new blood vessels

Envenomation is one of the most common reasons HVM chambers get used.

*Adjunctive to antivenom, surgical and medical care. Outcomes vary.*

Check out Torch, getting his Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy session LexVetRehab

REPOST:
Torch is enjoying a relaxing session in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber (and clearly making herself right at home)! Whether we’re working on mobility, comfort, healing, or overall wellness, sometimes the best part of rehab is getting to settle in and relax.

And that little face peeking through the window? Too cute not to share! 💕

REPOST:
Quality of life for pets is
also built with technology, and Dr. Vinícius Gumiero shows that the hyperbaric chamber is just one of the tools of Instituto Vinna - Medicina integrativa.

Lola’s story has opened the door to bigger things: HBOT can help to maintain and improve the day-to-day life of many patients.

Patients that may benefit:
-Orthopedic and neurological
-The process of healing wounds
-Various other cases, under evaluation.

“Taking good care is adding knowledge, technology and affection. “

Lola’s HBOT journey Clínica Veterinária- Dra. Thatiana Teixeira Instituto Vinna - Medicina integrativa was a vital part of her recovery!
REPOST:
* Lola in the hyperbaric
chamber: today you understand why this step entered her treatment.
For those who have just arrived, Lola our golden retriever has only been confronted pancreatitis, kidney failure and gastroenteritis
円
During the investigation, exams revealed erliquiosis and babesiosis, the well-known “tick diseases”
With severe anemia, her body began to suffer from the lack of oxygen in the tissues.
It was at this moment that the multidisciplinary team included HBOT in the protocol, here at the Vinna Institute.
Each case is evaluated individually.
For Lola, the goal was to support the organs at a time when several inflammatory processes occur simultaneously.
What that protocol did for her:
More comfort to breathe
Oxygen reaching the organs better
Blood support in the face of anemia
A reinforcement in the general clinical state
“Complex framework is all about adding care, never betting on an answer alone.“
